Is there any specific keywords for Hubpages ad program? Are they same as that of Google Adsense? My first few hubs were showing pretty good no. of page impressions, but the recent hubs are showing very less even-though they are receiving good traffic. Can somebody clarify this matter?
Radika, all adverts even on HP ad program are from Google. Keywords research is the only way to get the traffic.. tough backlinking and social bookmarking could help you further. Hubs really need to age... before they bring in the search engine traffic.. internal traffic does go down after some initial interest unless you extensively network with hubbers. But internal traffic does not help your earnings.
Thank you sofs, for the sincere reply. I was believing that HP ad program runs ads of its own. Now I got it cleared......internal traffic won't help our earnings.
Internal traffic does help your earnings but I guess it will have a lower eCPM. Say you write a hub that hubbers find of interest then it will be shared and you'll get more and more views from hubbers and search engines if you've done your job well
Here are links to Hubs from the learning Center with useful information about HubPages ads and how it works and also about using keywords.

First one is about HubPage Ad Program.
Second one - keywords.

Hope this is of use to someone reading this.
Here is a quote from the first hub link -
"The Ad Program: The Ad Program provides an optimized mix of premium ads from multiple ad partners (including Google AdSense) to run alongside Google AdSense ads on your Hubs. HubPages has partnered with a number of premium ad sources, which we have access to as a very large publisher."
Thanks lobobrandon and 2uesday for your explanations. I'll look at the links and learn about keywords and topics.

I was just wondering how successful people are with the Hubpages ad program and if anyone had managed to make payout in one day yet. I have yet to earn over $5 in one day from the ad program. How about everyone else?

I love to see what people were looking for when they found my hubs, it helps me choosing new titles and see which questions I left unanswered.I was hoping to see keywords under Traffic Sources, but I have to click on each hub and then stats, and then keywords.... quite a long process to check them...

Any tips on improving traffic and making money with the Hubpages ad program?I've only written nine hubs. I checked Google adsense today: $2.45 total.
