I know that when you complete a photo capsule, if you complete the source box and the source URL box, the finished capsule will have a link to the source webpage when you click on the text of the source (under the photo). I am trying to use a logo on a Hub. In requesting permission, the owner would like the photo to link back to their website. Anyone know how I can do this?

I give a source and the link.  The following link is for legal image use:

Thanks for the great link.  I have obtained permission to use a logo, but the owner wants the logo to be an active link to his website.  I don't think HP allows a photo to be an active link (rather than the source be the active link as is allowed).

No, on Hubpages there is no way to insert images as links.  If you try to hard code it in the html editor, it won't stick, you'll just get an error message. And of course you know that if you upload an image via the image capsule, there's no option to make it a link.   Explain these limitations to the owner of the image and maybe they will allow you to place a clickable caption beneath the logo instead.  That you CAN do in the image capsule.

Tussin, that is exactly what I have done and tried to explain to him.  I even made his required statement on ownership as my image caption.  The source is his business name which is also an active link to his website.  If he isn't happy with that, I'll take the logo down (and remove any other references to his websites in my Hub).

I would not sweat it. Simply drop the logo if there is this type of disagreement.  I would feel it is not worth the debate if the person is so set on it being a "certain" way or no way.

WryLilt and Dale Hyde, I appreciate your comments.  Your suggestions are basically my plan.  If the owner won't let me use the logo, I'll remove it and all references to his websites (I have 2 links to each and reference their brands several times in my Hub).
With all of the comments about having permission to use others photos, etc. I tried to do what is right.  I probably could have just used it and he would have never known.   I find it ironic that the first time I actually try to get permission to use a photo rather than one of my own, the constraints may make it impossible to use the photo.
I don't even have an Adsense account so i won't even make money on the Hu,b and if I did, it wouldn't be much.
