I have never heard of a poll where a candidate scored ZERO percent. But there it is.

It's now official: at least according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. Among black voters, President Barack Obama is beating his Republican opponent Mitt Romney by 94 percent to 0 percent.

Romney is also losing in the poll among Latinos, nearly 2 to 1.

I'm not surprised. McCain only got 4% of the AA vote.

I just saw that statistic on McCain.
        That's mind boggling to me.
        Truly.
But in the same report I heard that no Democrat has carried the white vote since LBJ.
        That's amazing, too.
        Crazy stuff.

It just goes to show... Either

A - There are genetic reasons why certain demographics always support one side
B - People aren't really voting on the issues... they are voting their demographic.

Now, that's a generalization, but it's probably true more often than not. More R's probably vote R because their parents/friends do/did. Same with D/s.

I notice that people have a tendancy to move toward the center when they start objectively questioning their ideology.

            Very true.
In families where one parent is D and the other R, I've found that usually the kids choose up sides by sex. The girls follow Mom's politics and the boys Dad's.
Not a scientific survey -- just personal observation.

I think you're right about the questioning and moving to center. There are quite a few moderates among us jere (even if we do present as ultra uber partisan just because it's entertaining).
Now if we can only find some centrist candidates to support!!
            Thanks for the comment, Jaxson.
            Night.

I'm confused and would welcome your opinion.  Isn't Obama centrist?  I realize that my views are quite liberal, but don't most people who objectively examine how he has governed view him as pretty moderate?

The public discussion about Obama frames him as a socialist, whatever that is. But Obama has hardly used the full powers of the presidency. All major countries have health insurance for everyone, so Obamacare is really an ordinary idea.

He refused to nationalize the banks during the financial crisis. He refused to nationalize health care.

The gay marriage thing is happening in dozen of countries. Many do not know why there would be such a debate.

But if one's convictions about God and Country are hinged on a conspiracy, like he's already taken away people's guns, then Obama is from Keyna and a Zoombie--people convinced about that consider him a moderate but a nazi.

Myself, I find Obama boring because he hardly does anything.

"The upcoming November election offers American voters a choice that is starker than they understand. Obama brings to the table a deep distrust of free enterprise and a belief in government as the solution to most problems." This is a quote from an article well-worth reading:

                http://www.forbes.com/sites/paulroderic … socialist/

The fact that his mentor belonged to the Communist Party of American and many other things cause me to wonder. Like Dr. Billy Kidd said, he's done nothing to further America, he talks about American exceptionalism, but does NOTHING to enhance it. Actions speak so much louder than words.

                  So......

Do people actually look at what Obama has done..

Or is it just easier to keep saying he is a socialist?

That's a good point Cody, but even if people took the time to LOOK, really LOOK, they'd be more than convinced that he;s not what this country needs and he's not what he purported to be.. I've looked and looked and read;  and I'm convinced. As far as I'm concerned he's not a socialist.

Which is why the Republicans have set out to disenfranchise more Black voters since the Jim Crow days. Eric Holder and whether the national guard is sent into America's worm heartland welfare states will be deciding this election.
