I haven't updated Safari.  I was in the middle of Hub Hopping and all was going well and then the next one I tried to submit gave me a "something went wrong" message.  I can load the hopper but I cannot submit my votes now.

      @Lwelch

We just tested the ratings hopper in Safari 6 and OS X and it seems to be working.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache?
      What about restarting the browser?

        I just reset my cache.

(For others reading this: As a side note, to clear cache in Safari 6, go to preferences, choose advanced options, click show developer menu.  Now clear cache is available under the develop menu that will appear.)

And then restarted Safari.  The same error occurred.  I am running Lion and Safari 6.  I have attached a screenshot of the error.

Sometimes that error is related to network connectivity.

Do you see the same error in another browser, like Firefox 15.0.1?

Yep, sure enough I am getting it in Firefox as well.  No other Hub issues though that I can see in either browser.

I should note this has been happening 100% of the time for 2 days.

I did some further testing in both Firefox 15.0.1 and Safari 6 in OS X 10.7.4 and 10.5.8 as well as Windows 7.
I also tested using different HubPages accounts.

I tested on 4 different computers using two different ISPs.
I am still unable to reproduce the error.

It might be related to the following:
              1. ISP connectivity
              2. Network hardware between you and the ISP
              3. DNS issues
              4. Low machine resources (RAM, swap file space, CPU)

Are either of you still having the problem and not seeing any issues with any other site?

Can you point your browser to this URL and then past the results?

Everything to and including "Other Details" will let me know if there is some variable other than operating system and browser version I should try to test for,

I just found some more info that might be helpful.
It appears the system has locked you out for requesting "too many Hubs to rate in a 20 minute period".

So does the Hopper work fine for a while and then just won't issue you anymore Hubs to rate?

That showed up after I figured out a work around to my problem.  If I hit submit and then after getting the error hit refresh, it works...

Now I just tried the hub hopper and it seems that atm it is working.  Maybe it has corrected as it wasn't working for 2 days prior and I had no other internet problems here or anywhere.

                So it is working now...

Would you still like system info?

                  Not necessary, but thank you.

I will leave this forum thread open in case it happens again.
It may just be that we need to give a warning when we think users have rated enough Hubs in the 20 min period, so it doesn't just look like it stopped working with no explanation.

I didn't get the warning though at all and for 2 days couldn't do any ratings without doing submit and then refreshing the page.  When I did the refresh it submitted.  Anyways... will let you know if it reoccurs.

Okay  soon as I say it is fine it breaks again...

Here is the pattern.  It works until I have to flag a Hub.  Once a hub is flagged, I can no longer hub hob without using my work around.  The submit button will not work on any browser.

Something must reset my account after that.  Maybe using the work around to get to my 20 minute limit.  I suspect if I reached that again and then waited and then came back maybe I could hop again without problems.

Just in case that isn't the entire story:

I'm also using Firefox and having the same problem with the hub hopper.

            Error message:

"Something went wrong. Please try again. And when you get the chance, you may want to report this issue in the hubpages forum."

Hi Zoelle, try hitting refresh after you get the error.  For me it seems to be a workaround.  It submits my stuff and I can then hop to the next hub.

Thanks to everyone for reporting this issue.
As many of you have witnessed, we are having some problems with the Hopper.

The issue has been sent to our engineering team to be addressed.
As several people have mentioned, refreshing the browser is a partial workaround.

        Thanks for your continued patience!

            @George
The issue you posted is not related to this forum thread.
If you are still having problems publishing a new Hub, please read the Bug report FAQ address that follows and post a new thread with the issue.
