Who is GOD ? Is he a person, power, source or just the creation of people?
Jesus Christ is God. He claimed to be God in numerous ways and searching for Him will open your eyes one day if you pursue with a humble and honest heart. God always answers when a person genuinely seeks Him no matter how simple the request.
It only takes a desire to know Him and the will to talk to Him and ask to see He is there. He will do the rest, so long as you don't quit looking.
There is no evidence, whatsoever, that supports the existence of, or even a need for a GOD. Anyone who tells you that they know what or who GOD is...is simply lying. Anyone insisting that they are in a relationship with GOD is completely insane.
Whatever you make it. Takes some degree of creativity and artist's license.
C'mon paradigma, don't be so dull. I didn't do anything but tell them God will answer a sincere request.
And I know Jesus Christ is God so I just you know.. dropped a cheat sheet in their bag.
I don't want people to say they believe in something they don't. I just want to help them see God if they are trying to.
I can't top this...

You do know I want you to be right...?
God is an idea created in the mind of people who could not imagine how everything works, things beyond their possibility to understand, like how does fire burn, what is the moon, why do my kids get sick and die. Well now most of us know how things work and only those with poor education and limited reasoning ability still think things happen because some god wants them to happen, you know, slightly dim people.
The continuation of god thinking is the result of a dumbing down process as one element of controlling the masses, in modern times this passing of stupidity from one person to another is more analogous to a desease.
This isn't a direct response but rather a dialogue for the public.
We call this type of talk ego. lol
Believing in God is not to be equated with stupidity. Calling someone "dumbed down" or "dim-witted" for believing in God is actually a logical fallacy called Ad Hominem. (Attacking the opposing person rather than the topic at hand.) That, in itself, can cause you to appear "dim-witted".
Source: A perfectly intelligent, Top-of-her-class, Multi-talented young female who loves, and believes in, God.
The beliefs themselves are so absurd that an intelligent person would have to suspend his intellect, and conjure brazen ignorance in order to accept such primitive nonsense as fact...doing so, because of a psychotic fear of authority.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, "He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness." 1 Corinthians 3:19
It just s happens that you say that with the same conviction of the people that just "knew" that the earth was flat. It is funny that people continue to think that they know everything when in reality those who doubt the existence of God do so because a) they don't want to be told that they are wrong about anything, and b) they have a "psychotic fear of authority". The only alternative is hedonism and human psychology, which we all know is inherently flawed.
If you want to know more, I'll hub about it. ;-)
Matthew 7:7 says "Ask and it will be given to you; Seek and you shall find; Knock and the door shall be opened to you."
There's the answer, simply put. It took me a little over a year of non stop searching to find Him and grow a relationship.
All I can say is, it is well worth it and well worth the wait :-)
Don't worry about being formal and religious with Him. He knows you better than you know yourself already so faking it won't get you any where. Be completely honest with Him like you are with your friends, talk to Him, read the Word (preferably a translation that does not virtually drive you crazy *cough*King James Version*cough*)
There are different translations for different people. Stay away from NASB (Catholic Bible) and the New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness) because they are not the same as the original Bible and may confuse you. (Those versions contradict themselves where ours does not.)
Finally, come as you are. God is not waiting for you to be perfect to talk to Him and build a relationship. He wants to meet you where you are and, as you grow closer to Him, you will change for the better.

Is it good to obey God if you only want a reward in the end?People may believe the gospel only because of the promised reward at the end. Is that enough to be qualified as good?
