When I just tried to go to the Hubpages site (whilst logged out) I got a big warning box stating something about this site's security certificate and recommending I didn't enter the site and stating it could be another site imitating the site I actually wanted. I had to override the warning to get in here. I am using Firefox if that helps. I just tried to leave the site and come back again in order to replicate the problem so I could post a screen shot, but now it seems to be working fine for me. Not sure if the problem will return though, or if it was just a brief glitch. I just wouldn't want it to put off potential readers from visiting the site.

Sorry to hear about the security certificate message in Firefox.
I am using Firefox right now and did not see the warning.
Perhaps it has since been resolved.
I'm going to send this to our engineering team to see if there is anything we need to address.

Is anyone seeing the issue today?

The error was a result of a server being offline for a small period of time.
      The issue has been addressed.
Please let us know if you see any further issues.

I just logged out and back in and didn't see any warning.  What version of FF do you use?

I also just checked analytics and see a depressing drop in traffic for yesterday and today, abnormally low even for a weekend.   Are you also seeing a significant drop in traffic?

I know I am. My views for yesterday and so far today are way off what they have been the last few months.

Traffic is way, way down, but only in HP stats.  Adsense and analytics is about normal.

I was logged in, and for me HP was down for an hour or two this morning, but I didn't see the certificate warning.  Didn't the same thing happen a couple of months ago?

I don't know how long it was down, but it was down when I tried to check accounts this morning, for at least a half hour.  Something similar did happen not too long ago.

@wilderness, my analytics is lower than usual for a Saturday.  I suppose this ties in with however long it was down this morning.

I rarely log out of HP, and have not experienced this problem before. I think on this occasion because I did log out, and then tried to return to the site (whilst logged out) the following day that I got the warning. If you were logged in then it could explain why you didn't get any warning box pop up, especially if you were using Firefox as opposed to another browser.

No doubt that we'll lose traffic if the site was down for long, but I have no idea how long it was or who was affected.  Looking at the times on these posts, I was on about that time.  Then I couldn't get on, then it kind of came and went for a while.

I don't think it was down long.  I could not access the page the morning, but I had several emails regarding others leaving comments this morning prior to that.

I honestly don't know which version of FF I am using, and don't really know how to check it out. I always do updates for anything on my computer when prompted to.  Traffic today (Sunday evening in UK) is back to about normal now, but I haven't been online since last night, so don't know if the original figures were adjusted. I do know they were well down on my analytics figures for Friday and Saturday.

      You are using Firefox 19.0

For security reasons, I never, ever stay logged in to any site overnight, or at any time when I shut down my computer, (and some sites time you out anyway  after a certain amount of idle time).
I have never seen any such warning when coming back into HP  (or most other sites I use either, for that matter).
