        Thanks.  I probably shouldn't say this but thinking about Rosa Parks makes me cry a little.  The bravery, the achievement, the power of one person daring to make their own statement.

        Against all the lies and posturing of our political leaders, and the inane gabblings of celebrities, the vested interests of the media, the stupidity of our teachers - just sometimes a small insignificant human being does something that changes history.

        A statue for her?  Of course.  In what kind of world would she not have one?

          +  Beautifully expressed, and love your image of her.

          We need more people like Rosa Parks, willing to stand up for what's right.
          But I am a teacher, and I don't think there are too many days that I don't consider who I may be teaching, who she or he may be in the future.
