You can get a fake designer belt to show your living quarters - off.

Or you can report them, mmm let me see which one is a good idea.

I think a flag is most useful - on their profile page.

Or try singing this - the spam song.

I cannot think of anything polite to say when I look at the mess the forum is in at this moment.

Take that back, spam has vanished - well done who ever got rid of it.

I see they have returned with a new HubPages id. since I last posted.

It must be a bit of a pain to have to deal with it all.

Why don't you'll make the forums such that you can post only if you have 5 published hubs or something? The learning center is always there to help newbies so they dont need to ask about it on the forums. It would give you guys more time to deal with more important stuff.

Even a delay between the signing up time and the time you can post in a forum would help, say 24 or 48 hours.

True that would take care of over 90% at least.

Great suggestions! We've considered these ideas, but unfortunately we don't want to prevent new users from asking questions and seeking help from other users about HubPages via the forums. Requiring a delay of 24 or 48 hours may also be discouraging for a new user wishing to seek help on HubPages. A frustrated new user may simply just abandon their account instead of coming back in 24 hours to ask questions.

We're in the process of discussing possible ideas to prevent the forum spam.

I think requiring one featured Hub before allowing anyone to post on the forum is the best idea.  Anyone can read the forum and all of the training information on HubPages without being allowed to post, which should answer most initial questions for new people.  I think requiring one featured Hub before being allowed posting privileges would completely eliminate the spam problem. (Just yesterday a guy was posting on the forum under several user names and only one had a published Hub.)

Great idea. If you can find the forums you can find the learning center.
