I am trying to revise my hubs, update the summary, improve the style and rewrite portions. I have started adding in text boxes which are hidden and have began logging the life to date views, the date of the revision and the date of the promotion.

I would love a capsule that automated this process for me.

The new coding that showcases what hubs need to be improved is a huge help to me to isolate and focus and make all my hubs a quality article but I really need to automate my tracking process as I move through a couple of hundred hubs.

    HP Team Please HELP!!!

Am I the only one who needs this help?

Can you explain in more detail what you are requesting and how it would help you with your Hubs?

    Hi Matthew,

Most certainly! Thank you for asking. For instance, if I have a hub that is fully graded and HP says it is being promoted but they recommend an improvement such as removing page breaks or if I run spell check for each and every capsule or if I rewrite the summary to work within the new recommended number of words, I like to document my changes - what did I do to improve this hub. Then I also like to record the life to date traffic. Then I seek to promote the hub either via a ping or rss submittal or LinkedIn. I document how I promoted the hub. 30 - 60 days later, if time allows, I document the traffic life to date. For instance, one favorite hub, had 3300 life to date traffic over a 2 year time frame, I made all the changes recommended, redid spell check, rewrote the summary to meet the number of condensed works and in 30 days time I had a 10% increase in traffic! On that specific hub, I now have 3900 life to date views.

I still need to work on links and many other items but at least I know what I have done, where I started and where I have progressed to. I don't make allot of money at this but I take great pride in my work and I am in it for the long term so I plan on making progress step by step.

Of course, all of this is predicated upon starting with an evergreen hub that is unique.Content is always king. But the Queen is in the tiny details and the Ace, I feel is the tracking and persistence.

We have had a similar request before and discussed it in our community meeting.  We have decided at this point not to implement this feature, but there are a few ways you can track the content of your Hub and any metadata such as when you make a revision.

      Option 1
You can add a hidden capsule to your Hubs and add any related notes you would like to track.

      Option 2
You could also create a Google drive spreadsheet or other spreadsheet and use it to track as many details about your Hubs as you would like.

        Hi Matthew Meyer,

Thank you very much for your reply. I am using Option 1. If in the future, it could be possible to have a capsule specific for this purpose so that I could track the traffic both before and after my edits - that I feel would be very motivating. All I bring in is the hubs status - featured or not and the life to date traffic and the promotion or the edits that I did. I suppose the hub score might be helpful to track over time if the edits were sufficient enough.

Thank you very much for listening.
