This June's Friday the 13th falls under a full moon; that kind of coincidence won't happen again until August 2049
{b} I actually forgot about this till late morning. Read the article about the origins. Has anything bad happened to you on any Friday the 13th? {/b} wink

Here in California, I can't see the moon yet at, 9:00 PM. It is still below the horizon. When it pops up, it might be quite a sight!  I guess Oregon, Washington and California will be the last states to see it!

6/13/14: "Richard Rockefeller, the son of banker and philanthropist David Rockefeller, was killed Friday when the small plane he was piloting crashed in a neighborhood near the Westchester County Airport shortly after takeoff. "It's a terrible tragedy," said family spokesman Fraser Seitel, who confirmed the death. "The family is in shock. Richard was a wonderful and cherished member of the family. He was an experienced pilot. He was a medical doctor, and it's horribly sad." Seitel said the 64-year-old Rockefeller ate dinner with his father Thursday night to celebrate David Rockefeller's 99th birthday. The Rockefeller estate, which includes Kykuit and David Rockefeller's Hudson Pines, is in Pocantico Hills and the family has long been one of the most prominent in Westchester. Airport operations administrator Peter Scherrer said the plane, a Piper Meridiansingle-engine turboprop, took off from Runway 16 at the airport and went down at 8:08 a.m., crashing into trees off Cottage Avenue in Purchase. The weather was foggy and rainy. The flight had been expected to last an hour and 14 minutes." Internet News

    6/13/14:
The U.S. ordered an aircraft carrier to head into the Persian Gulf as President Barack Obama weighs options on how to aid Iraq’s Shiite-led government in its fight against Sunni militants threatening to re-ignite sectarian conflict in OPEC’s second-largest oil producer." "...Obama said the country’s problems aren’t 'solely, or even primarily, a military challenge,' and called on Iraq’s leaders to unite." (Internet news sources.)

When we pulled out of Iraq, we left them with lots of money, but no defense, in 2011.) Ramifications: Iran could take over Iraq and Israel becomes a Sitting Duck.

Bottom line: We need to do whatever we can to support Israel, our ally.
