Need help wih moving content

    Greetings fellow Hubbers, I am currently in the process of a mass exodus of my content from Squidoo to Hubpages.  My question is, how long should I wait after deleting my posts at Squidoo to re-post them here on Hubpages. 

    I posted several inquiries over Squidoo concerning this and no one seems to want to help me.  I really like to know, I definitely don't want to be flagged for duplicate content, especially if it is my own.  Thanks in advance!

      When moving content from another site to HubPages, you need to make sure the content is offline for a period of time before you try to publish it on HubPages.

      We suggest 7-14 days to be conservative.
      If the content is still online it will show as duplicate.

    You can go into google tools and have your URL removed from their index which takes around 24 hours...

    However also check to see if your pages have been copied by anyone else as those copies will also cause your new HP post to be flagged as a copy (also by google as they will see the oldest post as the original!)

      Hi Michael, sorry to hear you'll have to do this, but it seems as if you have a good plan. I've moved most of my work off of another site onto various other platforms. None of them came here because they were a little short in word count, and I want to publish lengthier articles here.

      Most of the time, the de-indexing tool worked. When it didn't, it seemed to be because someone had already stolen my work and published it elsewhere. It was frustrating. When that happens, you can either fight it or rewrite your entire article with a different focus. Overall, I'm glad I made the move because my articles are earning more elsewhere than they in their original home.
