I started to, but then I noticed the list was very long... I only have so much attention span. Maybe if they had pictures.

Is there a link for the new one? Has it started yet?

You can't go yet until you answer my question about using a hubber's name more than once. I am ready to fill this out and I may run out of gumption. If that happens, I'll never find it again.

Oh oracle, when it says you can only vote once, I assumed it meant... one form per person, but as I read the poll, it makes me wonder if I can only use a hubber's name once. Can I use one hubber in multiple categories?

Oh, I am glad someone posted the link to vote. I always vote in them to support my favorite hubbers.  It is like the "People's Choice Awards" as relates to hubbers, and that is why it is so wonderful, as fellow hubbers get to vote on who receives the award.

Are you allowed to vote for yourself? I figure it is the only way for me to get any votes smile I also don't want to engage in the shameless plug, but I really want to win best avatar. It is about time that my luchador mask and $5 poncho gets some love!

    1. Sed-me profile image78
Sed-meposted 9 years agoin reply to this

So you have a 95 score, but you also have the scarlet letter... but Relache has a solid 100, but no scarlet letter. In a battle, who would win? (Im pretty sure she has a cape and a mask too, so superhero wear doesn't enter in.)

But wait, cause Christy has a 98, right down the middle, but also a big old H... (probably no cape... a presumption of course.)
So how would she factor in?

      1. spartucusjones profile image91
spartucusjonesposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Christy is an employee so I am sure she is disqualified. But if she was a damsel in distress I would save her. I am sure that Relache is better than me in just about every other category, so please give me this one? Also it is a $5 poncho not a cape, but that's OK, I'm not mad at ya!

Sorry, didn't mean to distract. I sometime find the letter and numbers a distraction as well. I really wished they would just remove them. It really takes away from the glory of the luchador mask and $5 poncho.

Its true, I can barely see you under all that numeric paraphernalia. Im not jealous at all though. Im totally content with my 77. I agree that it's hard sometimes to go through all the categories and think of people the first time through. Perhaps the HubPages staff could put all of us who enter nominees in every category into a big pot for a drawing of 50 or 100 bucks! Or something . . . . I'd take a chocolate bar. ;-)

    1. Sed-me profile image78
Sed-meposted 9 years agoin reply to this

I wonder if we could nominate ppl all year thru and then at the end of the year, when it's time to vote we can pick from a list and/or add our own nominees. Does that sound incredibly lazy? lol... I just had a hard time finding so many examples of each category. And "best overall hub" / "most awesome hub" seems kind of redundant.

It would be fun if we could have a voting thing for what categories we'd like to oust and suggestions for ones we'd like to add. I wonder if the staff could dislike me anymore than at this moment.

Victoria Lynnposted 9 years agoin reply to this

LOL! Yep, you're sure making it complicated. haha! But I agree that some of the categories--like best and awesome--seem a bit redundant. Maybe they could cut the options down a bit.

It is the holy grail of coffee cups. It will become your life long quest.
You will write a hub about your journey and it will be so charming and relate-able, that everyone who reads it will post it on their FB page, and soon after, it will go viral. It will be voted "most awesome hub" ... EVER. Then one day, you will hear a knock at the door, you will open it, and it will be Paul and Robin E. They wont say a word... they'll just look at you... no words are necessary. You know it, they know it... it's your time... your time to shine. They will carefully place a hand-crafted, simple wooden box in your hands... your eyes will mist up. You'll slowly begin to open the box, Robin will look at Paul, and his eyes will meet hers, *this* is why they do what they do. He will give her hand a squeeze as a tear runs down her cheek. You will reach into the box, lift the mug gently out, and like the winner you are, you will lift it high in the sky. Nothing else matters, this is the moment you only dreamed about, but never thought you'd see come to fruition. It's your Hubpages mug moment. We, your fellow hubbers will somehow sense what's happening, and in silence, support, and quiet awe, we will all raise our plain coffee mugs high in the air, in salute.
