Quick question: When voting on the Hubbie Awards, do we put their real name or "Hubber" name?

I don't want to mess up when voting, and I want to be clear, is it okay to use their real name or does it have to be their "Hubber" name?  Or can it be either or?  Thank you for the clarification!

My understanding is it has to be the Hubber name.

Of course, I've been known to be wrong, so this answer is probably worthless. smile  Have a great weekend.

Hi Dear Bill, that is what I am thinking too ...that is has to be the Hubber name.  You nor your answer are worthless ever.  Thank you Hubber Extraordinaire! Blessings

So glad I checked my email updates, or I might have missed two of my favourite  Hubbers that I will be voting for right here in the same place.  I am still confused by how to cast my votes. Wishing you both wins in your categories and the best day ev

Aw, Bobby, you are so kind.  Yes, please vote for your fav.  I want to be sure to vote correctly too.  I am just wondering being so many have their real name on their profile name with the Hubber name sort of obscure.

Bill's correct. Use the Hubber names when voting.

Thanks, Sha, that is what I thought and have always put in the past but with everyone using their real name now I wanted to be sure.

I agree with Bill. I pondered too. My hubber name has been placed in parenthesis at my profile. That gave me pause to wonder your question.

Yes, Tim, that is exactly why I ponder it too because so many are now using their real name in place of where their hubber name was, but is now less noticeable to the right.

I did not change my name. It was changed by HP. I guess I can go to the profile page and change it to what I wish to display. However, I ponder moving away from tsmog while unsure of my real name on the internet. hmmm . . . both are used elsewhere.

Yes, bejng so many have placed their real name to be prominent, I wondered if we could put either. One can never be too safe when it comes to giving too much info on the web for sure.

I've always used the hubber name, although I'm sure if you use the real name they have the ability to look that up.

Hi Christin, I have always used the hubber name too, but now that HP has implanted the choice of those who want to display their real name, it makes me ponder such.

On the form it asks for the user name - I just noticed this yesterday as I was filling it out smile

I put the hubber names in. This is my first year of voting, so I'm not really sure if I'm right though. smile

Yes - the hubber name is what I use. It makes it easier for the staff to identify and score the right person. I love the Hubby Awards, it is so fun.

Hi Phyllis, yes, that is my thinking too. If anyone did put a real name, hopefully their vote will still count. It is so much fun indeed!

Faith, we also have to use the URL (not the hub title) for voting on the hubs.

Thanks so much, Phyllis.  Yes, I thought I remembered about the URL from last year.  It takes a good while to gather all of it. Best wishes ...you are a wonderful writer and hubber!

Thank you, dear Phyllis. You are too kind. I haven't been able to publish much, so I make sure to vote up and more, well until yesterday when they removed the option. I still share though.

Thanks John.  Yes, and I hope people who may have put the real name, Hp will still count their vote.

They want the user name that appears in lieu of the real name.
