I know a lot of the Squidoo transfers will be doing massive editing over the next few months, so I wanted to remind everyone that if you accidentally click on a link or Amazon product while editing, it will take you away from the page. When you hit "back" the workshop will reload and you will have lost everything you were working on. Be careful guys!
Thanks for the tips! Still waiting for mine to transfer but I know I'll be doing some editing!
ACTUALLY scratch that. It will APPEAR as though you've lost your edits, but if you go back to your account page and hit edit again (or simply refresh the page), you should see all your edits. If you just hit the back button though, you'll have to start over... which is a huge pain in the butt.
Thanks - that will save a lot of work later.
Happened to me yesterday when I went to preview my changes after having worked on my page for about an hour. Mini heart attack! Thankfully, when I refreshed, there it all was again. Phew... Since then, this has happened about four times but I'm much calmer about it now
Thanks. I already have enough ways to lose content. I don't need another. This will help save time and avoid frustration.
So true. I don't even always remember what I am doing sometimes.
Thanks for the warning! I started editing today~ no accidental clicks.
Discovered this yesterday while editing a hub. Gave me a big fright until I went back to editing and found the changes were there.
Thanks, That is very helpful to know before I start editing.
I've been there, but from something other than clicking the Amazon link. Scary moment, but refresh did the trick.
I am editing my first page and yep I had clicked over to Zazzle and sure enough the links I had deleted were still there. Since this is all new I just kept clicking until I got the links deleted again, but then the pictures disappeared?
Such fun to be a newbie all over again.....NOT
I'm still waiting for mine to transfer, so I appreciate any tips.

I just received a pleasant surprise while checking my stats, which I admit I do more often than I should. But one of my best performing hubs got 10 times the amount of traffic it usually receives, from 200-300 to over 3300. This has happened before but I figure it was a share that begot more...

I have been noticing that when I enable the copyright notice in the display options in the HubTool, that it sometimes gets shut off. Then I have to enable it again. This has been happening ever since the feature was first introduced and I've been trying to discover what I did just before it...

Is it worth it? All this writing, photographing and editing, and page views are still going down.I wonder if I am wasting my time here on Hubpages, I pour my heart out and share my best recipes, I have written 72 hubs over the last year and a half, I feel that the quality and content of my hubs has...

I lost my job about a week ago. I joined HP to make money but when I realized it was happening the way I thought, I just did it for fun. Now I am thinking that I am doing all this for nothing and now I ain't got a job. So the decision is to find a way to earn on HubPages.Tips any one?

To the powers that be at HP: this is getting OLD. What's the point of a writing site that won't let you edit, let alone publish, your work????? Seems to happen only on the weekends, and I'm 100% sure it IS NOT on my end. No Windows updates pending, cache has been emptied, system...
