Hello I'm in transition to change my username-starting a new hubpags

   Hi:
   just to let hubpages.com know that I've decided to change my username and must move over my hubs to my new hubsite hawaiihawaii from hawaiihibou. Too bad we can't change our username. I've started hubs at hawaiihawaii and can't find them-I left them in unpublish&save. Can anyone help me?

      If you go to your name in the top right corner, let your cursor hover over it for a moment, the words MY ACCOUNT should be in the drop down menu. If you click on it and scroll down, your unpublished hubs should be there for you to edit.

      Can I ask, why do you want to change your username?   You've been here some time and that means your Hubs have earned age and reputation - if you delete and move them, they'll start at the bottom again, so it's not something that's generally advised.

         I have to agree with Marisa here. She is absolutely right that the reputation that your site gets from age will be a lost. Are you absolutely sure you want to do that?

      When I first signed up it asked for name so I typed in my name. I didn't know until much later that I could have a nom de plume. I want to change it, but won't because of what has already been said about a reputation that has been built and because I would lose valuable backlinks>  Is there a way to just change my user name without changing my domain name?

         This is just my own guess/opinion, but I think you're better off using your real name if you have only one account, and if you do/plan to have other accounts then having other user names (but showing you real name on the other account(s).   Regardless of how many different types of things you write, I'm not the only one who thinks that "where things are headed in online-content/writing" is establishing who/what you are as a writer/contributor; and kind of as a foundation to which whatever you write is rooted.
         
         This account I have is tied to pen name that I started using years ago, that turned into a "mini-business dba type name", and that I only used because selecting a "real-sounding" pen name meant having a user name that would be taken seriously if someone wanted to buy something I wrote online
         
         Five years ago (I think) I started to try to extricate myself from the whole pen name thing, so I started a second accouint "Wordcrafter 09" (so it's not a goofy or weird sounding user name, but I could make clearly in my/associated with my real name.  I didn't do much with it, occasionally wrote a Hub and then later deleted it for one reason or another.  In the meantime. this account I mainly use was earning me hundreds olf dollars a month (it no longer is, but it was then).
         
         So, these days, I've been in the process of cleaning up/out this account, keeping a certain amount of stuff (maybe/maybe) because the account is seven years old; while aiming to transition to the other account (which  is five years old and "rooted"  not only here but in a few other ways, even if it's pretty much an empty account)..
         
         I probably would have chosen to delete the Wordcrafter09 account, do whatever I end up doing with this one, and start an HP account with my real name as the user name; but I wasn't about to have to go through "boot camp" on here as a "new" Hubber; so I figured "WordCrafter09" was at least not "silly" or otherwise "strange looking". 
         
         This account is one I've always used as a way of experimenting with different types of Hubs/writing, so my plan is to still use this account for "experimenting", but to use the WC09 account for the kind of Hubs that I think are most suitable for this site (and the kind of stuff encouraged on here and that aren't as "experimental" as some of the stuff I have on this account.
         
         Catharine, not that you or anyone else particularly wanted that "whole thing" I just wrote; but I thought, maybe, someone who is either new on here or else thinking about "transitioning"  may possibly benefit from my sharing what I've discovered the hard way.       These days, not just on here but in general; with the particular writing I've done as "spare-time stuff", I've got a massive, massive, load of "half-baked" that isn't going to get (and for one reason or another, doesn't deserve to get) a whole lot search traffic - and it's all under one very well established author-identity (but a few names) as "one, big, half-baked, mess with any number of 'points-off' issues" (but also "points-off issues" as a result of my efforts to clean it all up).

            Lisa, I very much appreciate your advice about pen names and real names. It makes me feel that I  made the right choice using my real name instead of my dba name. They are both my "brand" and both are used elsewhere. Thank you.
