When do you feel it is time to turn off the T.V?

   The point. Personally I do not watch the news I just listen to other people and look to my friends online for the facts. Well the facts are American media is run by the world mob and they are attempting to create a rift between the citizen and the police. So the media is all about how a cop killed "Joe Moe" and got away with it; while Joe Moe killed an officer and so on. Negative crap hoax lies hoopla. Now I just want to see where this topic goes.
   
   Do we turn off the television before we are watching the television as you see the police slowly moving in on your house on your own T.V? Marshal law bla bla bla if you continue to watch and do nothing then you will be watching as they kick in your door. What do you think? Should we just turn the thing off and talk to each other about moving into a more positive and caring environment. Obviously as we see in the media simply talking about something enough eventually creates a new reality.

      i haven't watch TV for years, normally my kids watch kids program. I read online for news but not everyday. Too much arguement , fightings and killings in the world. Can't stand it.

      We live in an era where there are enough media outlets to provide choice. It ain't like the days of the 3 major networks. I can get as much information or as little as I would like about any topic under the sun, with any variety of different perspectives on it. It all depends on how and where you look. The internet has been the been the biggest breakthrough since the Guntenburg press.  We download movies and all forms of entertainment at will, for no or little cost. So, there is nothing to turn off....

         Yes, it does appear more and more people are turning off the television especially in America where it is obviously corrupt, towards alternative media. Older generations my grandmother's age, even my father's age are taking more time and run into issues finding the truth on the internet. The only thing going for the powers to be if you ask me.

   The only reason why the news is so negative is because people tune in much more often. If it didn't get views, the news companies wouldn't do it. So I think, if we want to make monumental changes, we as a society need to move from these negative sources of media and push towards more positive forms of media.
   
   How can this be done? I'm not entirely sure. Quitting television entirely, like colorfulone, could be a start. Or, a less drastic solution would be to ignore these negative sources of media, starting with bad news media. Then, support better forms of media, on TV or on the internet, or where-ever you get your fix of info.

      Ironically Capitalism can be used to move to a more positive focused media. I see this happening if people just focus on the positive. If the media sees that people are using the internet to recieve positive media, and they will. They then will slowly put positive media out as a test. This test will lead to the creation of positive media. However the television is the illumination of the human mind in some powers to be eyes.
      
      So they will have a difficult time doing such a thing as they luminate negitive through the "eye" television. One of many metaphors of the devil. So they will just attempt as we see happening now to overtake the internet and trick people here too. It is going to be a fight and we have to be honest with ourselves to find the truth.

   We have not had any broadcast or cable television in my current household since 2009.  Within a week we'd decided it was a great decision.

   My friend watches a lot of TV, while I stick to my DVD's.
   
   But, It is time to turnoff the TV when the world news is on. I also can't stand Jerry Springer or Murry Povich, and the whole "Who is my babies daddy BS. Sometimes I want to throw his TV out the window. But, I know I would only throw out my back, because it's big and looks really heavy.
