Maybe a while back, but generally, earnings these days aren't enough to replace paid work.
But from what I can tell no one actually works at it like a regular job (40 hours a week), so it is really hard to determine the answer to that.
is it ttrue u get 1000 views $10 thats alot where I am from
No. Sorry. Around 3000 per day will net you $10, maybe. Someone else will know for sure.
Anyway, you joined two weeks ago, and have done lots of 'research', so where's your first hub? You'll have to work hard to write sufficient hubs to earn $10 per day.
I quit my day job nine years ago to work from home. I write, consult and earn a decent living.
I can tell you that if I did nothing but write Hubs all day for five days a week without normal human contact, I would go blind and crazy.
It's just not possible to write 5,000 words a day every day of the year (at least not for me). The demands on creativity and eyesight would be too much.
It's also helpful to have a variety of different types of work to break up the monotony.
nope, it is impossible to quit a day time full time job after joining hubpages or other sites, this is only side income, still need a full time job to feed the family
I only met a few that have claimed to have made enough money off this site to quit their day jobs, but even they said not to solely rely on this site, as many of them did write for other sites besides hubpages. Of course, the people I'm talking about don't really come on here anymore, or if they do, I certainly haven't seen them in the forums lately.
(snicker) Yeah, right.
That's the dream...but if my living was dependent solely on my earnings from this site, I'd be in a cardboard box down by the river.
I am watching a TV show called 'Billions', sort of a fun version of House of Cards.
A businessman has fallen from grace and has been blackballed from his profession.
A character asks:
'Do you know what he does now?'
'What?'
Pregnant pause then in a hushed tone...
'He's a blogger'
Shocked silence, horror.
LoL! I Was looking for something new to watch. I may give this one a shot.
This is my dog working on her blog.
(That tells us a lot about the average quality of most of the blogs out there. Her other job is a day trader.)
A day trader, lol. You have destroyed my trust in dogs.
It gets worse. Her blog is on how to cure cancer by eating jabanero peppers. She has millions of views so far.
You can be pretty sure she won't let you keep the house when she decides she needs a trophy human.
Look closely, she's reading bubbleviews on how to tame a pet Human.

I was just curious for those of you who write for Medium and/or Substack, how your earnings compare to what you make on Hubpages. Do you think it's worthwhile writing for these sites? I look forward to everyone's insight. Thank you.

How long did it take you to make your first pay out and how many articles did you write until you did? I am only curious.
