      Obama's foreign policies are failures.

"America will be respected by foreign powers under Trump"

Many will and already do and Trump hasn't even taken office yet.  Perhaps not by our enemies, but they should have a healthy fear, which I suppose translates to respect.

In Australia right now, the United States is a laughing stock.  Not because of Obama, but because most Australians think Trump is a lunatic.  But yes, we are scared of him as well. If that's what respect means to you, I'd say you've got it.

Fear him ?   Lunatic ? How shallow ...........No leader in American history  has ever been a successful leader without  a certain amount of respect born of fear  in foreign policy , in true political influence and leadership it is paramount that you are respected by less than scrupulous  world leaders .Those in the civilian populace who "fear him "are too influenced by the completely  biased media .  As it seems,  are most liberals ie.Shallow.

Obama and Clinton were political push overs to the rest of the nations in the world. Fact.

Marisa: It is very hard to respect a country when from the outset no one respects its leader.

Unfortunately, that would fall on those like you. Those who do not attempt to find a positive in any of this. If all we are going to do is focus on the negative we can certainly expect those in other countries to follow suit.

This is exactly what's wrong with the left today ,yesterday and tomorrow -   The de-legitimization of the entire list of  issues  by name calling , Can't argue or even debate the point - throw a name out there . Call them stupid - racists - bigots - .Makes me think of Meryl Streep , Leonardo and  Robert Dinero on the Golden Globes awards last night begging for political attention from the totally  biased media !

Grow up !  And when you mature beyond simple name calling -perhaps only then will you elevate  yourselves  to the level of the righteous.

Americans have got to stop personalizing politics !    You know ? return to the way it used to be , a far ,far more informed populace . It wasn't ever the "end of the world "  when ones candidate lost .

If globalization, and colonization via war and fear, are the new definitions of respect, then yes, the United States has a stranglehold on respect. The country has been fighting nonstop for over 200 years, internally and externally; it is the only nation on earth to use WMDs -not once but twice. Yet it proclaims itself as THE champion of peace and democracy for the world. I'll wager Democritus is rolling in his grave every time that term is mentioned.

Even now, the Hollywood teams & MSM are in process of creating more propaganda in favor of the aforementioned madness. The likes of one G. Clooney, making a movie about the "heroic work" of the government funded no government organization (nearly $100 million combined), who almost won a Nobel Prize, called the White Helmets.

If this is how `merica intends to be respected, Mr Trump is a shoe-in, having extensive experience in show business.

Europe in already in chaos from the mass terrorist migration out of Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and most of North Africa. They will be no help to the US. Asia despises the US. Central & South America as well. Russia may tolerate the US, but even now their patience has growth thin with the silly accusations, further sanctions and "russo-phobia" that's been going on since they (USSR) beat Germany and Japan to end WW2. And everyone in the Middle East, save the Palestinian Occupiers, who are only "friends" for the money & weapons, hugely dislike the States.. So, who's left? Ah, Antarctica.

Yup, I think Antarctica will continue to respect America.

It is said that "All roads lead to Rome".
Now, they say "All roads lead to Rome, unless you're in Antarctica".
Ever listen to Admiral Byrd? Very interesting from there...

John Kerry was in Antarctica on election day.
Barack Obama visited Antarctica in March.
Maybe they will bug out there?
