How to submit DMCA to Google

   I'm having a difficult time locating an email address to submit copyright infringement to Google. I found a site called Lumen but it was very involved and confusing, asking for a lot of information about the thief I don't have. I know how to submit DMCA claims, have done several successfully. But I'm stumped as to how to go the Google route. HELP! Just need an email address, or is there a long form I can't locate?

      Is it a Google owned site? If not, use the Whois lookup to find the hosting company and submit directly to them so the page is removed from the web, not just from Google search results.

      You go to the Google page which deals with copyright and there is a form you fill in. You have to supply the url of the orginal article (yours) and the url of the person who stole your article. Google then contacts the other person and makes a decision based on the facts. I think in the past they notified me that the site had been removed, but I can't remember.

         Just to be clear (in case others reading your post misunderstand).
         
         Google does not remove sites.  All they do is remove sites from their search engine results. The sites continue to exist and can be found on other search engines and by following links on other sites, Facebook etc.
         
         The only sites Google can physically remove are the ones on blogspot.

      What Beth said is correct, but it isn't exactly a DMCA complaint.  It is a legal complaint against someone who is violating your rights that you submit after you have tried unsuccessfully to  file a DMCA with someone.  I believe that what they do is investigate and either remove the site from the web or shut down their adsense or both.  I have found it to be very effective.

         If it's a complaint about a Google website (i.e. a Blogger blog) then it is a DMCA complaint, and they remove either the blog or the specific post.
         
         If it's a complaint about some other website or blog, then it's not a DMCA complaint, it's a request for Google to remove the offending site from its search results.  Google has no power to remove any of those sites from the web.

   Choose the bottom option "submit a legal request" and then click on "tool".

      Thanks, Beth. This is page which led me to where I got confused. The deeper I went, the more I thought there must be an easier way. I'll try again later is evening.
