Blackjack is snatching all the crazes out from Poker

Blackjack is the ONLY Casino game that you can improve the odds in your favour. Given that opportunity with BJ: Don't Play the Game Until you know how to play at an advanced level or you ruin the game for better players (Which is another way a Casino has of turning the odds back again!).

You appear to be obsessed with poker! By the questions that you continually post here it appears that you don't know much about the game (Player-level-wise). hmm

What about Texas Hold'Em, a game in which the casino always wins (rake), yet you can GREATLY improve your odds to win by playing the game strategically?  The gamblers lose, the house wins and you win.  Seems like the best game to me.

Blackjack, but only because I don't know how to play poker! smile

Blackjack is at best, a break even game.  It is NOT possible to win in the long run no matter what the books try and tell you.

Poker is, ideally, a completely even game where everyone has the same chance of winning or losing.  However, particularly at lower stakes, the rake (the amount of money a table takes out of the final pot) can create a negative expected value.  However, unlike Blackjack, player skill* will raise or lower your ability to win money over a time.  Over a long enough time, a good player will almost always be net positive  and a bad player will always lose money.

Blackjack, however, is a much easier game and if you want to sit down with a memorized "perfect blackjack" chart and give it a go, its pretty safe.  Just quit while you're ahead and don't let the thrill of the game make you bet away your earnings because they won't last.

*Ideally, every hand of blackjack should be played exactly the same every time.  Not understanding the odds can hurt a player but once they've memorized the correct play, the skill component will be removed.

Well Thank you Mr Cannon!  A bit of a Gun are you? hmm

Clearly you do NOT qualify as an Advanced BlackJack Player either. smile  I would have expected that you would have at least answered the 'basic' play strategy for 16 lol

FYI.... The Game of BlackJack (as a Casino Game) Is The ONLY Game that allows a player to reduce the house % odds, as a direct result of how the player plays the cards throughout the game. If you don't understand that (as it appears from your post, that you don't) you should refrain from giving advice that you would wish to have accepted as 'qualfied.' hmm

My Best Win from experience; I have played a $10 Table for a straight 34 hours for a Net Return of $42,080 with a starting stake pool of $300.
When I play; I Never Play for less than 10 Hours and from over 5000 games; have only ever Lost my $300 Stake twice!
I have spent a total of 2 years Training players in Advanced Play and throughout that period, had ever Casino GameBreaking Trick used against me, bar being barred.

You DO NOT KNOW What you are talking about, when it comes to BlackJack. sad  For a starter, NO Casino ALLOWS Players to take play charts or alike into a casino!! smile

To Play at the Level that I am referring to; You must have the Ability to memorise EVERY Sequence of cards played on 7 Boxes plus the dealer's hand continuously; irrespective of what else is going on at the table! To Do That for 34 hours; I would bet your count, that it is Well Beyond You. lol

Perhaps you might consider Learning from an expert as opposed to promoting 'expert' advice? hmm

      Hi Pearldiver

My Name is Sam and I am from Adelaide, Australia. I would love to learn BJ and I would be grate full if you could tell me where to start. I am willing to put in the time and effort required. my aim is to make 300 dollars a day. I don't know if that's achievable or not but even 100 dollars a day would be great.

      Thanks a lot.
      Sam

If you're going to construct a lie to inflate a bunch of bogus stories about yourself, it's best to leave as much detail as possible out of it. I'm assuming you're not a very good poker player. The nail in your coffin is this:

"For a starter, NO Casino ALLOWS Players to take play charts or alike into a casino!!"

I live in Vegas dude. Every casino allows you to bring play charts to their tables. The gift shops even sell them. Jesus! A 5 second Google search would have revealed that one for you stud.

Nobody pay this clown for jack.

You can reduce the house odds to as little as zero but you can never create positive odds in blackjack. If you want to try card counting, god bless you, but more and more casinos are shuffling after every hand to prevent even that.

I'm very glad you fond the time to continue here at hubpages between your $1000 an hour sessions.  I'm amazed you aren't living on a beach with that type of return!

Come On.....Len.. That was a bit of a Misfire wasn't it? hmm

The Only Way to reduce House odds to zero.. Is To Not Play lol
You Are quite right that casinos are more often using shuffling machines to beat the players and increase house odds. smile
However; That is neither here nor there with the playing methods that I am referring to.  I'm Pleased that you took the time to learn a little about the game since your last post lol

BlackJack is an extremely Skillful game and yes $1000 per session is achievable when your skills are above average, in any field. (with a certain exception of writing for clicks).
As far as the beach is concerned.... I'm surrounded by beaches lol (NZ is an island)

I suck at numbers, so I'm a poker man til the end.  When I'm not there, I'm haunting the roulette wheel.  While that has the worst player odds in the house, once you figure out the cycle of patterns, you'll never loose.  That's where I go to build my roll back up to get on the card tables again.

Which one is best- Poker or Blackjack??

I would think that they both are played - the same amount, all around the world. But, since I have to choose my favorite, it would be Blackjack. Simply because, I am better at playing it.

P.S. Texas Hold'Em is NOT considered gambling by the State of California for the reasons listed above - mostly because you are not playing against the house.

Well for me its got to be only one and only favorite Online Poker. This would be the best game. The best site for poker is Pokabunga. You can play different poker games as well as find tournaments and free rolls.
