the mysteries of the universe? Is this why God is so elusive?
If so, I expect He'll be disappointed - I doubt the species will survive long enough to discover all the mysteries.
That's a possibility. Maybe we will go the way of the Neanderthals.
Let the Bonobos take over, hopefully not the chimps.
Nope. The eventual winners in world domination will be cockroaches. They were here before the dinosaurs, and are just biding their time, waiting.
and wilderness, will God be happy about that outcome?
JK
Couldn't say - I know no more about His wants than anyone else does. But if indeed an omnipotent being created the universe and us it can't be a surprise.
I would say that God has led many individuals to the truth/science behind the mysteries of this world and universe. Otherwise we still wouldn't know much. I would say we can learn/discover as much as we want to, with His Opening the Doors we knock on.
He is elusive ONLY because we have hidden ourselves from Him.
I don't think I have. Why do you think so?
Are you one hundred percent body, mind and spirit devoted to S p i r i t ? This means No attachment whatsoever to the physical plane of existence. No desires, No attachments to individuals … not even family members ... No hidden personal agendas or pet delusions? The more I meditate the more I become aware of my pet delusions that I have held as a matter of course since I was three or four!
I am definitely attached to my family members and much of the material world. I don't think I would want that to change.
If you see them as extensions of Spirit and love Spirit Within Them, you are incorporating Spirit into your awareness and then you are not hiding from Spirit.
So that's good.
I am very attracted to the spiritual. I think my problem might be I am not ready to give it all of myself.
Its an opportunity! You only gain. You don't loose!
I don't think that we will ever have everything figured out. And that's not a bad thing. We have a lot of exploration and discovery to look forward to. I believe that the spiritual and the physical are connected in some way, both parts of one big reality. God is not all that elusive when seen as a transcendence of all of it. Something we can personally connect with. Its like going to the source without having to figure everything out first. And we see that there is much beauty and elegance in this physical world, which nicely aligns with the love and compassion of the people who live in it. Its like the guy says to himself, "What a wonderful world!"

I often feel like my Grandmother is still here with me, walking the halls and just being near. Is this allowed by GOD?

Does God belong to any religion? My question is if God does not follow any religion then who should we? I asked this question to Priests, pastors and also self proclaimed healers none of whom could answer me satisfactorily. I feel religion is an unnecessary burden on humans.

I had originally posted this as a question in the "Answers" section, but it was taken down because it "invoked a conversation rather than a Q&A.... So that's why I brought it here! I want you guys to sound off on what you think about this subject, does God exist? Why do / don't...
