Procrastination is a 4-letter word

   I had grand plans for this rainy weekend. Write, write, write. Did I? Well, sort of. I now am up to something like 15 unpublished hubs, 13 of which are at least started. A few of those are almost done.
   
   I'd start working, and then hit the forums. I'd start writing again, and then take the dogs for a walk. Try my hand at a hub one more time, and then vacuum the rugs (which were already vacuumed, thankyouverymuch). It was so bad, I was even calling up friends I hadn't spoken to in ages just so I wouldn't have to write, although all I really wanted to do was write!
   
   How do I get focused? HEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!

      You don't! lol.  I am the grand master of procrastination.  I even wrote a one hit wonder about it... really it would be a hit if I would record it already. lol.
      
      No seriously, when it comes to writing, if you aren't feeling it then don't do it.  Otherwise you get a bunch of boring crap.  At least that is what happens to me when I write and don't feel like it.

         LOL, can we put a bet on this? I'd like to join you but I don't think I'll be able to write at all. Tuesday will be a busy day for me . Anyways, good luck EK, irohner, and the other hubbers who will join you. It will be a quiet forum without you that's for sure .

   here's a semi-serious reply. I saw a t-shirt, on the back it said "top ten reasons I procrastinate" and underneath it said "1.",
   
   but moving along.. two-words - post-it notes! 2x2 inch. on the cabinet door for coffee cups. Can't miss seeing them. Won't allow myself to remove then until task is done.
   
   Granted, the door does sometimes look like a grocery store bulletin board, but eventually I get so tired of seeing them that I actually accomplish something.

      That sounds like something I would've done for my Mom who had Alzheimers! I don't forget -- I just procrastinate! Post-it notes aren't going to cut it for me. I'm a professional procrastinator. (Hey, maybe I can monetize it....)
