    A Poem Called "Women"

    Women are unpredictable,
    And that make men gullible.
    Women are courted by men,
    Men are rejected usually.
Men think that they are smarter,
Yet women are the mind masters.
Women can be confused one minute,
    And perfectly alright the next.
    Men can not do that,
Because if they do then they just look stupid.
Men should be impressed with women,
    Yet many are not.
Never underestimate a women and her mind,
Becaue if you do then you will be outwitted.
A woman's mind matures faster than man,
    Therefore men have already lost.
No matter how hard a man thinks,
A woman can take him easily.
Women make believe they are weaker,
Physically they may be- but mentally men are no match.
    Regardless of a woman's age,
    A man do not compare.
Women are superior in a lot of ways,
Men just refuse to admit it.
Women use all their tools to get whatever they want,
And most of the time men give it to them.
I'm not saying that men can compete with women,
Because I will destroy most women.
Smarts and wisdom will be the attack,
Most women are smart but not wise.
    This is from personal experience,
And I have met, seen and watched a lot of different women.
    I'm actually impressed with most,
But most can not be trusted when it comes to our minds.
The game can be very dangerous,
Most of the time someone gets hurt - usually the women.
    Do not get me wrong,
    Men are not much better.
Most men can be useless in a lot of aspects,
But then again men have their purpose to be here.
    I have nothing against women,
    Some are worth the trouble.
When the pleasure starts to lose to the pain,
Get out while you still are able.
Women can grip a man tighter than he can her,
Trust me- that would not be a good situation.
Once you feel that you are no longer equal,
Either get back to it or run.
    Once you lose that,
Then you will never gain it again.
Men are weakest when they open themselves,
And most women know this fact.
Any man who says that no women will get the best of him,
Has already been scorned by a woman.
He would not have that attitude otherwise,
Men are not that emotionally stable.
    Battle of the sexes,
Will be won by the women.
    That is a proven fact,
Therefore see them as equals and you might survive.
    A woman will never lose,
There is no limit to their heart and soul.

This my dedication to all women. I hope you like it.

      Cags,

This poem is a compliment to women in my eyes. Most men are more concerned with controlling a woman than knowing who she is. The shift of relationship power seems uncomfortable to insecure guys, so they don't look at the heart of her.
My husband calls me his ocean...That I can sail ships, and I can also sink them. When still I am vast, and breathtaking when raging. He sees the woman I am, and doesn't flinch.
Cags words are naked and truthful in this poem.
         Just my humble opinion, Holly

The title drew me in, then I read the poem. Very nice. Then I got distracted by sooner's comment. Sorry. Been stuck in the life partner debate over in the gender/relationships forum. Plus, my novocain is just starting to wear off so I'm a bit sloppy and unthorough today. Again, a lovely poem.

Isn't that why you're not suppose to make judgements of people, without first having all the facts? Or, do you just judge on the basis of hatred of all of humanity.

Last time I checked, HubPages was about people learning from others and a community where people READ other people's Hubs, so they can get to know one another.

Had you read my Hubs, like many others have, then you would have known, long before now.

And, if you think for a second, that I'm going to justify myself to you, via answering your little gimmick questions attached to my poem....then you can think again. Your little questions point to the direct reason why WOMEN are better than MEN. But, nice try tho. I'll give you that much credit. Okay?

          1. profile image0
sneakorocksolidposted 14 years agoin reply to this

You're way over reading me I'm not near that complex. I'm very simple and assuming I have any motive other than black&white, right&wrong or just having fun you missed. I did figure out why you sound kind of "off", you're from Massachusetts.

  12. profile image0
    Justine76posted 14 years ago

huh. maybe I took it all wrong. That has to be the most backhanded compliment ever....
Its good, but most of it is hinting that women are devious, conniving, cunning, weak and unwise...yet should be adored?
    but I probably misunderstood..

    1. Cagsil profile image71
Cagsilposted 14 years agoin reply to this

That's okay Justine. Many women took it like you do, but my intention was to point out WOMEN are better than men, because they are able to adapt more quickly and use their intelligence(like I said in another forum) to bettering themselves, instead of inflating their own self-esteem or ego, per se.

Please don't take as an insult, it wasn't meant in that manner.

      1. DogSiDaed profile image61
DogSiDaedposted 14 years agoin reply to this

I don't agree tongue When comparing people it is bad to use gender, unless it is a very gender specific issue. I never understood why men and women have to be so subdivided and stereotyped. We are all people, we all think in our own way, and there are women with big egos, just as there are men without them. It's always best to be individual smile

        1. Cagsil profile image71
Cagsilposted 14 years agoin reply to this

I'm sure you don't agree and you have that right. But, what you don't have a right to do is tell me that I don't realize that women have big ego's. Yes, there are SOME women who have big ego, but what you fail to realize is that those who do have big egos are the one who live in a MAN's world in business. Those who don't, don't have big egos.

So, let's keep it real. As for dividing people....we are different sexes. Therefore there are differences and each person handles things differently, however, with that said- most women handle all situations, better than men.

Thank you for your input. It was somewhat helpful in pointing out your own weakness as a person and your lack of understanding of women in general.

Cagsil, not only was that last comment ignorant and snobbish, it has shown a complete bypassing of logic. It seems strange that somebody who claims to be advocating ways to a free mind is so close minded himself?

I don't think it's right to generalize. We all have our strengths and weaknesses, and we're certainly all different, but as a group women and men do have something in common, we're both human and on any given day our strengths and weaknesses can be exploited if one is so inclined. Perhaps it's best to consider our relationships not as a contest with a winner or a loser, but as a compliment, a union, like iron we are malleable but when carbon is added we are strong like steel.

Oh? It's obvious? How so? I think you're "dedication" shows that it is actually you that doesn't think highly of women.
A sampling of what I believe some women might take offense... Am I wrong ladies?

Women can be confused one minute,
        And perfectly alright the next.
        Men can not do that,

Women make believe they are weaker,

Women use all their tools to get whatever they want,

Absolutely true, a lot of people try and condense life down into a box and look at it through rose tinted spectacles. I always think life is more magnificent if you try and view it from as wide an angle as possible. I mean, I write poetry and I enjoy seeing the beauty in the same things, but at the same time, I study science and get that view as well, and it's ridiculous how complicated one seemingly simple organism can be, let alone EVERYTHING.

A fellow hubber shared his writing. Some liked it, and some did not. So why does it need to become a "rip the writer" session?

Not everyone will like every writing even from their favorite hubbers. Would you ever consider the author to be sensitive to the silence? If you are really offended, how about a discreet message to them?

Even a line by line disection of someones work on the forum? Was your well being dependent upon tearing down a fellow hubber like that?

    Washing my hands now.

If this refers to me amongst others, which I'm sure it does, I was not 'ripping' the writer, I simply expressed another viewpoint. Once challenged by said writer I then did exhibit a more aggressive response true, but a defensive one. As much as I feel an urge to defend my views, I do agree continuing on for such a long time is annoying for others and therefore myself, at the same time as debating my point, I don't like causing too much friction, so perhaps I shall leave things here, ta smile

If a poem is dedicated to all women as the OP says, I presume it's going to be a compliment on womanhood, not what's written on this poem.
        Some lines are very rude.
Maybe you didn't read it thoroughly or you didn't pay attention.

No Tantrum I read it all the way through and I did pay attention. I just don't let things get to me nor did I see most of it as rude. I know what I am and that I am a tough woman that men can't understand and I accept it...I am who I am and I liked the poem.

I watched a child pluck a wildflower. The root came up with the stem. There was still a lot of dirt on the root. The child ran over to her mother, dressed in a beautiful spring dress and sort of "shoved" it into her clean dress as a 3 year-old would normally do. The mother became upset because her beautiful dress was soiled. The child cried.

Delivery was clumsy and awkward. It would have been better if an adult had handed her a rose, but I think even still that she would have complained that her finger was pricked by a thorn when she reached to take it.

Some people, it seems, just have to have their gifts a certain way, or they don't seem to count. That's really sad, since the thought was really so genuine.

Maybe phraseology, etc., in Cag's poem seems a bit "offish" for some, but I think his intent was pretty clear from the get-go. Nothing wrong with that. Dissecting it seems a little harsh to me.

    Just my thoughts.
