Amazon hubs after Thursday worth writing?

   Amazon said after Thursday this week it won't offer free shipping (I assume since it's so close to the Christmas holiday). So is it worth it to write any Amazon hubs before Christmas? If not, I won't because they are pretty time-consuming, and I will shift my focus to external blogs and links and stuff. Thanks!

      I had my Christmas Amazon hubs written by the end of August, and a couple of them missed the boat.
      
      You could write some for Valentine's or Easter?

      You can write them, but they won't be truly effective (indexed and backlinked) until next year, so really do you think they would be of immediate benefit to you?

   I'm of a different mind bend, keep writing as they may not be pertinent this year but could bounce back next or someone could be looking for after Christmas gifts. I know we have two birthdays one the day after Christmas and one New Year's Eve.

   Yeah I wouldn't bother with christmas hubbs this close to chrismas , I meant to write some awhile back but never did get around to it, mark knowles is right , try for easter or valentines , I need to just write some , I have been at 16 hubbs for awhile now , got a writer block thing or something, think I'll bash the cops on stun guns this week though

      i thought of that - crazy last-minute shoppers, heh. hmm...i was thinking about December grads and brides...no one remembers that people get married and graduate from college in December. if i do write one more December hub, it would be for them.

      It's a great UK holiday. Its a religious holiday originally and yes you do eat pancakes on that day . It is also known as Shrove Tuesday, the day before lent begins.

      Its not a US thing, they do it in most English speaking countries.... basically everybody eats pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. It really is as simple as that! I did a pancake recipe hub in early July, so hopefully I will have a couple of days of decent traffic!

         When I moved to the UK I found pancake day brilliant! I love pancakes and love that they have a special day (I know I know its supposed to be religious but for the non-believers who celebrate its just pancakes they are celebrating )

            Just like Xmas! I love Xmas, doesnt mean that I have to believe in Jesus. As it happens, I do believe in Jesus, its just that I believe him to be a normal man who had the last of his birthdays over almost almost 2000 years ago now!

      thank you Relache (and hi GoogleGal). i am not going to write any more Christmas hubs, i don't think, unless i write one smokin' last-minute-bargain hub and can readily do all the backlinks.

         What Relache is saying is that the way Google is going recently, any new Hubs won't get indexed till after Christmas, no matter how well you do your backlinks.

    I think the ship has passed for X-mas. I know I've seen a slow down on my Christmas related ones as they were more focused for early December than late December.
    
    Always time to plan and look ahead to the next big thing!

          Sounds to me like they probably go out having bbq's, picnics and water fun, with a bit of hiking, biking, river rafting etc. thrown in for good measure on the 4th of July.
          
          But I could be way off base.

          Most Americans either go to a fireworks display or have a party at home, which means lots of stuff to sell them.
          
          None of which is 4th July specific though. I don't recall seeing a spike in traffic around 4th July to some of my grilling recipes, but I will have a look.

    Those are just some of the things that surround the holiday. We have fireworks displays, concerts, etc too. But mostly backyard bbq fun. So, you could sell grills, grilling equipment, blow up pool toys (no dirty minds ok) and other stuff.

    I had no idea the US didn't do Pancake day! Canada does as well.. pancakes for dinner day. Another random fact to add to the bucket.

    Don't write Hubs for dates, you can always make sales, if you miss this CHristmas, there is always next year!
