A new fan who has a hubber score of 2, no profile, no hubs, no comments. I'm looking forward to a lot of good stuff!!
Maybe more than that-- or a fast fanner. more than 100 people fanned so far.
Are you feeling left out?
The riddle of the sphinx?
sorry, dont get it.
100 people fanned? how do you know how many people they have fanned?
Sorry if I didn't reply directly to your question.
When someone signs on as your follower, click on their avatar and find their profile page.
Look at their recent "hubtivity"-- on the right side somewhere below their avatar (might be below an ad or two). It Might show a list of what they have posted or commented upon in the past.
yeah, I found it. i'm just curious, though. Were you joking about them fanning 100 people? lol or are you actually able to see more than is listed right there?
You can go t o the next page in that box-- might have been only 80 at that point.
You are a winner! That was the secret contest, who could get the newest fan! I am proud of you.
All kidding aside, Rochelle, that is a bit honorable, following you. You are an excellent writer who gives exemplary advice.
Thanx Baby Faye-- ooops dislexia kicking in.
Ye< I am honored to have the lowest ranking hubber-- nowhere to go but up... and I am also honored to be in the company of a lot of great hubbers who have been fanned by this same new hubber.
(Now I gotta go check to see if I have already fanned Faybe.)
HOw you doin' Crazed? Thinking of you.
Thanks Rochelle...doing okay though my nerves are getting the best of me and tightening up my tummy I just want tomorrow to be over with though I don't think I need it done...since I started tonight and I think what the doc felt was just the egg....I've got to call in the morning and see what they say
I think you will be just fine, Crazd! I had a huge lump on my right side, over the ovary (area) and by the time I was ready for my appointment it was gone. That was years ago, I thought I was dying.
Yea I'm now thinking that is all that this is...false alarm because of the rag...I think he just felt the egg ready to srop or something.
not like guys wanna read that and all sorry boys
It's OK-- get it checked, that's all you can do, then let go.
very true very true...just hope that they can do it tomorrow so I can get it done I hate having to think about rescheduling and all that
At first I thought it could simply be someone who joined and was looking around. They found you and enjoyed something you wrote. BUT if they have fanned 100 people already, I doubt it's so innocent!
I have learned to look at profiles of people who fan me-- perhaps read some of their stuff, but also to look at their current hubtivity to see if they have just fanned several hundred people in the last five minutes.
It might be OK... but it requires little thought.
I like to follow people whose thoughts or hubs resonate with me on some level.
Here is the most recent fan

There were two others, but one has been here two weeks and the other has been here 3 days.
However, the one I mentioned/linked to has Zero Hub and Zero Fans.

Edit: this is just a portion. there can be more if you like. that is all this person has done is fan people and join topics.
Could that be an accidental misuse of hub hopper, or just an overzealous person stalking all of us?
It's a misunderstanding of HubPages. Thinking it is a social networking environment like Facebook or Myspace and it's not.
maybe just someone who thinks thats the best way to get started?
But 2 months in? Only fanning people and joining topics to follow?
They simply have the wrong impression of Hubpages.
I get that but could that have actually been a new person not knowing about thumbs?
Not prevented-- just bring attention to it so that people are aware. You can bring it to the attention of the HP staff if you think it is an issue.-- press "report" and add details of why you are reporting.
Maybe we should open a visitor center and let those fan pages reflect it, same with follows.
yeah. didn't see the edit of 2 months. strange....
That's because I didn't edit my post. It was simpler for you to see for yourself that they had been here two month, because I provided the link to their profile page.
Had you taken a look, then there would be no reason to tell you. Until, there was a reason to bring it up.
Yes, it could be a mistake of someone who is lonely and has not bothered to see what the site is about.
I'll go send the requisite e-mail. Personally from the history, said Hubber was first following subjects. Then came back two weeks ago and started following specific hubbers, now two hours ago, started following more.
Either this person is getting the newsletters to read new hubs, because they love to read, or perhaps they are the copy paster who has been stealing hubs and posting them elsewhere.
Just so you know you are giving them your e-mail adress. No requisite.
Yeah, I know. I am planning on getting rid of that one sooner or later anyway. I have a new one, just haven't gotten around to switching everything over.
How does one get my email address?
I see HubPages' emailing system is a simple forwarding system. No one gets your email address until you respond to their email sent to you via HubPages' system.
Once you respond, then they have received your email address. And, if they mail you SPAM then report it.
SPAM can be reported at the bottom of every email you receive from HubPages.
I was replying to Faybe Bay who said she would send them an email-- If you send a a private email to a hubber through their profile page-- they have your address, as you said.
Not quite, Cagsil. If you send an email to another Hubber through the "contact..." system, the message includes your email address.
It's the receiver whose email address is protected, unless they choose to respond to you.
Someone else already recommended that you breathe -- good advice .
lol I am breathing I swear! I wouldn't be typing if I wasn't and yea I am not worried anymore...just gotta call and see what they say about the whole rag thing and everything...

"Welcome to the Hubpages! I'm looking forward to reading more of your material!"And they seem to be on a famming run using that same message for each person they've fanned.

While I understand that hubbers might occasionally want to share some of their own hubs with their followers, it can be frustrating to see multiple 'old' hubs shared by their owner when looking at the 'feed'. I'd like to suggest that HubPages limits the ability to do this to a certain number...

Can I leave a Hubber fan mail after I've already 'followed' them?I just want to be able to leave fan mail comments, but I can't find a link to do it after I've already follower the author.

How can I get new fans? I don´t have any right now.

Why would someone would send Fan Mail to a Hubber that didn't comment upon the Hubber's writing?I received Fan Mail that wasn't a comment upon something I had written. I don't understand why someone would send me Fan Mail that basically said "Hello. Nice to meet you."
