The words "pay per click" are appearing in some of the ads to my hub

   Should I be concerned? These are Google ads that Google placed there, and my hub does not contain those words or anything similar.
   
   My new hub is about how advertising shapes content. I stayed as far away from anything to do with clicking as humanly possible. It's mostly about advertising and refusing to advertise and how these decisions affect whether we get indexed. Nothing at all about clicking!
   
   Now, I understand that "pay-per-click" is one of the forbidden topics that I could lose my Google account for, no questions asked and with no right of recourse. But besides turning my ads off, is there anything else I can do to prevent this from happening?

   no worries - i would imagine the little bot that crawls your content for possible TOS violations doesnt actually crawl adsense script content.
   
   Also feel - the bot knows the difference between your content and their content.
   
   Also considering that Adwords is marketed as "With Google AdWords pay-per-click (PPC) keyword advertising" and PPC is a very common phrase - "pay per click" isnt the red area you are seeing it as.

         Aya, I noticed you were getting over-anxious about this.  Unless you're an expert in sales, marketing or making money online there's not much point in writing about those topics because there's so much competition already.  So it's easy to stay away from anything Adsense may object to on that score.
         
         As for everything else, the only other thing you might trip over is the sex thing, if you're going to talk about the sex life of primates - but other than that, I can't imagine you'd be even close to having to think about it.

   Why is pay per click forbidden? There are over 1,000 hubs with "Pay Per Click" titles. Sunforged is a great example, he has over 40 hubs with "Pay Per Click" within them. Talking about Pay Per Click isn't forbidden.

      What I've heard is that it's a "gray area", because it depends on what you mean by that.

   no confusion, the number just seems a bit high.
   
   I imagine your getting alot of results that appear on "my related hubs" and duplicates
   
   Just curious - if 40 is the number it wouldnt bother me
