What's going on here?
I've had 8 people join my fan club, and I notice that 3 of them have had their internal link no followed. I would expect this of spammy people, but the ones with the no follows are people with Hub Scores of 98+ , with hundreds of articles and who have been members for over a year. Clearly not spammers.
One of my fans was even demoted off my page by another fan who has a lower hub score, yet fans everyone in a 100000 mile radius.
Why is Hub Pages penalizing some of its long standing members with no follows? Why is it (apparently) arbitrarily rewarding other hubbers by assigning them front page status on my home page even when they were not among the first 4 fans to join my club?
I'd like to see some hubber control over who gets those profile page links and if they are no followed or not. This current system seems gamed, or at least to show some arbitrary form of favoritism.
No it's not arbitrary
If you become their fan, the links become do follow.
And fans are sorted into four groups in your list - mutual friends with fanmail, fans with fanmail, mutual friends without fanmail, fans without fanmail, in this order. Inside each group they are sorted in chronological order.
Hope this helps
Oh, and the last one - try not to judge before you learn
Ohhhhh. Heh. Well I suppose that makes sense. Never mind then. All's well in the world.

Thanks for the help, Misha
@ Misha My embarassment rules supreme right about now. But at least I see why the others are making angelic photoshop pictures of you...
LOL Thank you
And no need to be embarrassed, really - we all make mistakes, and some even learn from their mistakes
@ Joe Can I get that on a commemorative mug or a teaspoon or something? Perhaps a poster for my bedroom wall?
I don't want to freak anyone out.. but the St Misha picture I downloaded to my desktop just started crying oil...
It's a miracle that's voiding my warranty!
That's your punishment for downloading religious porn!
As a penance, say 5 "Hail Misha's" and drive your car around the block 10 times really really fast, while yelling at the top of your voice "Water for Fuel really works, Water for Fuel really works . . .""

Be careful, I just got the following ad in my fanmail. I almost approved the fanmail, too, until I checked the URL and found it led to a commerce site. I suspect I'm not the only one in HubPages to receive such fanmail, either, so be vigilant. Here's exactly what it...

Lately I'm getting a few followers with no Hubs, no profile info and weird fanmail or email. Is there a way to block these people from following me? Or is Hubpages at least working on something in the privacy settings?I'd rather be able to do something about it than wait for Hubpages to kick them...
