rejected by e-bay... again

   This is the third time I have been rejected by e-bay and have no idea why.  There's nothing odd about my hubs.  Now, I don't know what their ruling is, but it doesn't seem fair and (perhaps I'm inept at this) there isn't a clear way to be able to contact them for feedback.  They are not giving me any sort of reason. 
   
   Has this happened to any one else?
   
   Why is this happening?
   
   Is there a way to rectify the situation?

      Isn't it damn frustrating?  I'm thinking they don't want to have to pay out, cause the stupid thing is, I'm finding e-bay items and adds on those square spaces in my hubs.  Makes me very suspicious.  And doesn't hubpages not pay you unless you are a member of all affiliiates?  I'm not possitive that my kontera is working either.  They don't make it easy to figure out.

         Frieda, the only way you should be seeing ebay ads on our hubs is if you added an ebay module.  If you did then just go edit the hub and remove the module. 
         
         HubPages doesn't pay you at all.  You only earn money through the affiliates you are signed up for and promoting. For Amazon, try a book review or an author bio and then select the books you want to promote, or do a product review and choose items that you would actually purchase. The best results are from products that cost less than US$50.
         
         Google will pay through Adsense when you reach their threshold.  You do that by optimizing keywords in your hubs.
         
         You can promote other affiliate products too but you're only allowed 1 or 2 links pointing to that product and your hub has to be original content relevant to the product you are promoting.

            Actually not true.  I do not put them in, they're coming from adsense point to e-bay and products that are similar to my content (I'm obviously doing the right thing).  There is nothing I need to edit as I have to e-bay capsules anymore.  And if you check my hubs, they're as original as you can get.
            But thank you very much for taking your time in answering this.  I do appreciate it.

               You will be paid for advertisements for eBay that run through AdSense by Google.  You only need an eBay affiliate account in order to get paid for eBay capsules.

                  Thanks paul.  I know they're different.  I've just been miffed about so many of us not getting accepted when it would be so beneficial for us and them, and if my hubs were good enough to bring about adds like that, I didn't understand why e-bay would have an issue with allowing me to use them.  I think I'm moving on.  Perhaps try again one day, I don't know.

         No, not at  all. I've never applied for ebay, and had Kontera for a bit, decided I didn't like it, and got rid. I have only adsense and Amazon on my hubs.

   I'd almost be happy to get rejected by them at this point.  My frustration is they simply don't bother getting back to me.  I'm over it by now.  Sorry other people are also having such a hard time.

   Have any hubpages staffers ever responded to all the forum post about why so many of us are getting rejected?  And I know I've asked this already, but am I wrong in saying that hubpages doesn't give you your portion from hubpages unless you are affiliated with all the affiliates?

      Hi Frieda:
      
      We have commented on this before.  When you click "edit" next to the EBay field on your affiliate settings page, we've even added a warning:
      
      "Important: eBay has a fairly stringent affiliate program approval process. They also seem to be denying applications from certain countries. We recommend only applying for eBay if your hubs are generating a reasonable amount of traffic and you intend to place eBay products prominently in your hubs."
      
      Really, we don't have any control over it.  It's their affiliate progam; their standards of approval.
      
      And to clarify, you do NOT need to use all the affilaite programs.  We leave that to your discretion.  You can use AdSense and Amazon, for example, and get paid by both of those programs, and ignore EBay and Kontera completely.  (Kontera is another one of those affiliate programs we only recommend to people with a number of high-traffic hubs.)

   PS> You may have more luck with your application if you include a links to a few hubs where you've integrated highly-related Ebay capsules.  That's not a guarantee, just a hypothesis on the part of Paul Deeds.

      I had already tried that with a few of my hubs where e-bay would have worked fantastic, like my baby vintage clothing, for example.  I put them in, then waited a month and then requested, only to get turned down.  It may work for someone else however, so don't take it from me. I ended up taking them down because I didn't see the point. Thanks maddie!

   I've been denied too, Frieda.  I contacted eBay and tried to force the issue about teling me WHY.  I did get have a string of emails going back and forth with an actual person, but they kept on insisting that it was their policy NOT to tell you why.  In the end, I gave up and I don't care to sell their dang stuff.  Their loss.  They stand to lose more money than I would ever have made.

   Also rejected by eBay, I wonder after reading all this why Ebay is featured as a link in the hub box. That in itself is an ad for them that they don't deserve. Some people, me included, that are new to hubbing may have put ebay ads in there not realizing that we were not getting credit for them.

   I have received several ebay payouts this year, but never reached the ten dollar threshold with amazon.  Ebay capsules help to refresh your hubs without adding an rss feed or going back to update every few weeks, which is another reason I like one at the bottom at least.
