In my Hubs all links are Do-follow but when I started this community all links are no-follow.
Can anyone tells me how Hub pages decides Do-follow and no-follow links in hubs ?
Hi,
When your profile score will be 75 then automatically your links will be dofollw.
Thanks for the info. I'm new here so it helps to learn more about the ins and outs of hubpages.
FAQ entry for this
http://hubpages.com/faq/#linksnofollow
You said that in the last thread Mr. SPAMMER... grrrr
We dont want your mobile phone either.
hub pages is a knowledge exchange community. kindly do not promote yours products.
You don't see them, but the figures above denote what is follow/no follow on hubpages. You need to have a profile score of 75 and hubs need to be 40 or above to be followed.
There is many tools like seo quake and searchstatus they tell that link is do-follow or no-follow.
Or simply right click on link and in properties it shows no-follow or do-follow
Down load firefox addon "nodofollow"
right click
press the nodofollow on the option
if the given link in page is do follow it will appear in blue
if it is not follow it will appear red or pink
you have to check the source code of the web page - it is available in all browsers
click the report button under his post people. Quickest way to get people bounced.
HubPages staff's telepathy to pick up our grumbles is notoriously unreliable, so they have a neat REPORT button on each post... Use it and don't feed people's ego's by interacting with them.
Sorry I did not understand.. are hubs and people marked with flag "Do Follow" an "No follow" ?
Yes hubchief, you need to have a reasonable score to be followed, so hubpages sets a bottom score limit. 40 for a hub and 75 for your hubber score shown on your profile.
Hi earnest thanks for the information, I'm also about to ask this question and found your answer, this would be a great help I wonder how can we determine if how many hubber score we have? is it the number beside the title of our article? I'm confused sorry.
I'm confused. Does and individual hub have to have over 40 and the hubbers score be above 75 or one or the other. Say for instance I had a hub of 50 buy my hubber score was 70 would the links be do follow?
Thanks in advance for your response.
well you really need some help from google .. ask for do follow and no follow and aquire some technicalites associated within hte scripting
Ah I got it.
Does it affect the new comers? as New comers start with really zero score...
Seo Quake has an option for displaying strike throughs on no follow links, it is avialable on firefox and chrome.
so whats the quickest way to up your score? and if an individual hub is scoring a 50 but a hubber is a newcomer and only is like a 50 overall...are the links still no follow?
Well, I hate to be contoversial, but I checked my hubs and plenty who were in the 80's for hubscore had a no-follow attached and my author score stays in the 90's.
I'm interested in this topic as well. What is the best way to boost your hub score to get do follow links? I've worked hard on y articles but what else should I do?
1) You need to adhere to the TOS and content policies of Hubpages.
2) Continue to write and publish quality, original contents.
3) Regularly read and comment on the hubs of a manageable group among the hubbers you follow. Better follow on a regular basis same hubbers, rather than at random.
4) Participate in the forum discussions and help the new hubbers by answering to their queries and concerns.
Further, it is an automated system which is not always foolproof. I have found deserving established hubbers hovering around 90 or even below while those who do not have even 10% of their stake nearing 100.
Again, so far as earnings is concerned, you need only 80 or 85 as dofollow starts at 75. It through outside searches through search engines that you make most of the earnings for which a highest hubber score is not essential, but quality content with good SEO is necessary. Conversely, a highest hubber score is no assurance for good earnings.
For improving the hub score, in addition to the aforementioned aspects, you need to have good SEO to generate organic search.
Great info here about hubscores, I was confused about if both scores were required. Appreciate the answer.
Still wondering about the op Kmadhav it says he has a hubber score of 10 but he says his links ar do follow now?
How long does it take to get 75 author score so my links become dofollow. I am probably being a bit impatient as I have only been on hubpages about 9 days and have only two hubs.
Any advice how to boost my score or is it just a matter of writing quality hubs (if so how many before I get 75?)
Thanks for the help
Thanks a lot for this information,I have posted my First hub and my score is 29.I will try to get 75 so as to get do follow link from hubpages.
My score is 53 and climbing slowly Glad to find this thread. I was wondering about this as well.
We should all really gather up & protest this policy, because 75 is a too high threshold for a do-follow link. It's simply unacceptable that we participate, share original content & make them rich while they don't even bother giving us a small recognition for our efforts!
1. Why on earth would you bump a two year old old thread?
2. You can write 5 quality hubs, leave the account alone for two weeks and it'll hit 80. Without interacting on any part of the site. The scores are there JUST to stop spammers and it's REALLY easy to get over 75.
It is not difficult, it just takes a few more hubs and a few weeks.
Was at 80 a few weeks back, but they dropped me right below 75 - what i meant WryLilt was that even if you're not a spammer, you still need to put work into more than 2 hubs to get your links "out" - anyways thanks for your replies!
Helpful- still trying to understand all this.... This thread clarified "Hubber score" vs. "hub score"..... I thought it was hub score that had to be above 75, damn! Now I gotta work on that Hubber score lol
I'm not sure if this is true anymore, for example my hubscore is over 75 and my hubs are all over 70 with their individual scores and all the links are still nofollow. So I wonder what the dofollow criteria is now?

After 6 months on the site i've started the really wonder how many backlinks is a reasonable number to any hub, and really to a hub becoming successful? Or is it simply a lottery. What kind of figures do other hubbers consider?

I see other hubs with 62 or 68 hub score.. mine is 72 and still, the outgoing links are nofollow. help, please:( I can't use hubpages as a backlink otherwise!
by Chuck Bluestein 10 years ago
Earlier I posted that people should go and make links going to other sites that do not belong to you nofollow. Then someone mentioned that if your hubber score is less than 85 then "every link" will be nofollow. But this is not what HubPages says. HubPages says:"If your HubberScore...
