High protein, low fat, natural carbs, no refined sugar, and lots of vegetables.

A Mediterranean dish such as Spaghetti bolognese with wheat noodles, plenty of tomatoes, garlic, onions, broccoli and olive oil. Accompanied by a nice glass of red wine and a fruit salad with apple, blueberries, cranberries and orange for dessert.

This combination contains many super foods that are packed with nutritional and health benefits.

    Bon Appetit

I'm sure you have heard this before- but raw vegies are the best thing you can eat.

I juice some of mine- I still have to choke some of them down though.

According to God, bread prepared using this aromatic fuel is the ultimate meal.  (ezekiel 4:12)

    Who are we to argue?

Veggies without fat are pretty useless.  Many of the vitamins are fat soluble and are thus passed through your body whithout benefit if eaten without fat.

There are only 4 fat soluble vitamins....if youeat ANY type of fat along with a meal, you will be able to absorb those vitamins.  You also don't need as much of those in your diet because your body can store them for longer periods of time in your bdy fat.....so please continue to consider fat free vegetables and non-starchy vegetables (not potatoes, corn, peas ect)

The healthiest way to eat is Low GI, this places less  stress on your pancreas too. It means you stay full longer and some of the best low GI fruits ie. berries are high in antioxidants. The basics of low GI? Lots of fresh foods and cut out all that processed stuff! Of course it can't hurt to take a great plant based multivitamin these days as the nutritional quality of alot of our fruits and veges is relatively poor due to our farming methods. Why plant based? Because the body recognises this as food and absorbs all the vitamins and minerals.

I found an interest argument some time ago based mainly on the Japanese way of eating, but which could take from many cultures. It's that of variety. The more varied your diet, the more likely you will end up consuming all the nutrients you need. But as well as that, our bodies seem to like having that variety. Of course, most of what the other posters have said apply as well - lower fat, good fats, low GI etc etc. But rather than finding just a few ideal "healthy" meal combinations and sticking to them, try to mix it up a little as well - don't they say variety is the spice of life. And a little olive oil on your vegies can never hurt and tastes greaat!!

Crusaders (if you're a dragon). Stay away from the plump ones though, as too much fat in one's diet is not good. wink

Fresh organic unrefined foods are the healthiest. Raw as much as possible. The same percentage of water in our bodies is the same ratio as the earth. 70% water...we need to consume more water and water based plants.

Hi, when it comes to "the healthiest meal" its all about perception. It could be weight loss, weight gain, you could have a different fitness level, heck even the time of day determines this. For instance, one of the comments here mention a pasta dish. That would be great, if you are carb packing, building muscle and its before five at night. I write articles on healthy eating, nutrition, fitness, and exercise, if you are interested you should give them a read, but for now i would say your healthiest over all meal must incorporate leafy fibrous carbs and multiple veggies to get the high micro nutrient levels (vitamins and minerals) and you need poly/mono unsaturated fats and of course high protein. So i would recommend 2 and a half cups of spinach or romaine lettuce with 4-6 ounces of skinless chicken breast, 15-20 sliced almonds, and a mix of cucumber, carrots, and peppers. As a health kick bonus you could throw in half a clove of garlic chopped and even a few ounces of avocado. Have this with a big glass of WATER!! Heck you might be stuffed by the end, you might even feel that you ate too much and you'll gain weight, but trust me, your metabolism will be as high a seven year old kid that can't sit still and you will nearly watch the fat melt off not to mention maintain sleek and sexy muscle structure.

Well Well Well. I think healthiest meal is something that is really important for each individual. One should follow a great meal regime.

You have to just follow a diet plan which can help u grow in a good way. U should eat lots in morning, good amount of food in the after noon and some evening snacks and then the last thing is at night we should eat the very very less.
