Greetings! I'm a new member and I joined 4 days ago. I believe in making high quality content which is why I didn't publish my first hub right away. I made a "good" and extensive article first.

3 days forward, I tried publishing my first hub and I get this error:

"Sorry, because of rule violations associated with your account or ip address, permission to publish new hubs has been revoked. You can still edit your existing hubs and save your changes to this hub by clicking the done editing button. Your right to publish may automatically be restored through time and adherence to the HubPages rules. Fixing or deleting existing flagged hubs may also help."

The thing is, I haven't really done anything yet. My hub score went from 50 to 8 though maybe because of inactivity? (3 days) But the thing is, the reason why I didn't publish my first hub in the first place was because I wanted to make a high quality hub.

Can anybody help me with this? Thank you smile

There seems to be a gremlin or poltergeist wandering through the site. A rash of problems -- including the one you're having -- have popped up within the past several days.

I can't fix it for you but at least you know it wasn't anything you did and you're not alone!

I'm sure the staff will get things straightened out ASAP and/or maybe post something so we all know what's going on.

    BTW, welcome to HubPages! smile

    Hi Sara!

Thank you very much! That actually made me feel better as I was really worried if I had done something wrong. I even considered making a new account which has a starting score of 50 hub points.

Thank you very much for the warm welcome! smile

I'll just wait and see how things get worked out and hopefully, I'll be able to publish my hubs soon.

I'm starting to feel that hubpages is a great place to be! smile

Glad I was able to help -- without actually doing anything --, Wilford!

You'll like it here*, I'm sure. I look forward to reading your first hub and all the rest.

Best of luck and remember us little people when you're all rich and famous. big_smile

I have had error messages once or twice.  I am not surprised by the point drop.  I had 13 hubs flagged in a single day and two or three stayed "off the air" for at least two days.
My score went from somewhere in the 80s--I had gone as high as 89--to somewhere in the high 60s.
So don't feel bad.  After all, before you joined this place you had a happy life, right?
That's what I remember when I get screwed here.

    Hahaha.

@Sara - Thanks a lot for the laugh. Makes me feel really comfortable here. Anyway, I tried to publish now and it still won't work.

Still waiting for some updates on the glitches.

@wps2469 - So you mean that's normal? What did you do if your hubs get flagged?

Should I make a new hub page just to check if the new one might not be flagged?

    Thanks a bunch! smile

It looks like spammers have sullied the shared IP address that you are using.  That's the reason you were blocked from publishing.  Your account has been whitelisted now, so you should be able to publish freely now.
