Printing of hubs

There was one hub that interested me that had instructions, that I wanted to print, but I couldn't find out how to do it.  I tried to copy and paste, but it would not do so.  Sometimes, especially with a long hub I like to sit with a coffee and read it in hard copy.  Perhaps it is hard to prevent plagiarism, but that is not my aim.  Any help?  Am I missing something?

We aren't doing anything to prevent the printing of hubs.  You should be able to just use your browser to do it.  Try looking under File -> Print on your browser's menu bar (that's where it is in Firefox, and I believe Internet Explorer as well).

Yes, I know I can do that.  But when you do that, you get far more printing than you want.  I would just like the hub only.  I want to save paper and ink.

    Tottie,

I agree. I have printed a few but when you just click file and print, you get comments and all. Sometimes there is several pages of comments alone and my printer starts at the last page and stacks them to page 1. Therefore, I can't just watch and cancel the print after the hub itself is done. It would be great if there was a printable view option so that you could just get the hub alone for printing!

Yes, it is a pain.  I just tried the one I was interested in - and there were 44 pages!  Luckily I stopped it before it sucked all my pages and ink out!

    Can you either:

    - highlight and have it print selected area only?
    - have it just print 'current page'?

I've been trying to print my hubs out for my portfolio, but had trouble with a hub printing correctly. When I have more time next week I'm going to play with the print function, if I get any good tips I'll let you know.

tottie,  open the hub   then highlight smaller sections at a time then right click into the highlighted area.
    And click copy
Go and open a word document and right click paste.
When finished save it and then print.

It is easy as peasy once you have got the hang of it.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks, I tried it and it worked. Perhaps I have tried to copy and paste TOO much before.  Glad I can do it now.  Many thanks.  smile
