   Do you still keep your childhood toys?
   
   I have been keeping my teddy bear over 40 years, I am attached to my teddy bear that my aunt gave to my brother. I stole from him. Although it has changed color, I can't bear to throw it away. Do you still keep your childhood toys?

   I didn't save much... my brother found our old stash of Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars way in the back of the closet at our Mom's house a while ago, which my two sons (ages 8 and 12) gratefully inherited.

      If my brother and I had taken better care of our cars they might be worth some money... but we beat 'em up, got them muddy, crashed 'em together, and had fun with 'em, now my kids can do the same!

   I kept all of my stuffed animals and books, and now my daughter uses them. I'm glad I kept them, it's cool seeing her get enjoyment out of the stuff I did when I was little. Plus it saves having to buy stuff!

      true, i agree with you. My toys are still in my closet, my boy came up and dig them out, played and kept them again, like a treasure

   I keep only the sentimental toys, like the ones given to me by people who have passed, and they are in good condition so I keep them in the family. I let my cousins and their children enjoy them when they come over like I did when I was a child.

   Of course. I had to offload a bunch of them, every time I moved. I had to get rid of my favorite stuffed dog, last year, when one of my cats had a bladder problem on it. I hated to throw it out, before I moved, since that my first stuffed animal I've gotten when I was little from my mother.  I've kept some of mine now.

   Childhood toys always carry so many memories; maybe they were there when you were sick, had a bad day, cuddled that teddy bear after having a nightmare, or were a gift from a loved one. I still have many of my childhood toys. Maybe I'll give them to my own kids one day (in the very distant future!).

      yes, i super agree with you. My teddy was by my side since i was two years old, i talked to her everyday, tell her my bad dreams and kissed her goodnight. Like my another child.

   I have two totes in my garage filled with my old action figures (mostly star wars and jurassic park). I don't imagine them increasing in value over time, I think I'm just a hoarder. Plus, I was meticulous with my toys, so the thought of them getting destroyed by someone else is too much for me to handle. I'm just lucky I got them into two totes because I had considerably more than that growing up.

    I would have, I had a toy stuffed Chimp, I called Mugsy. It was taken away from me because It was considered inappropriate by my mother. I was told it was my fault that I had lost it, except I always put on my bed when I went to school. To this day I am unhappy about it.

    I wish I had kept some.  I had a Scarlett O'Hara doll but I do not know what happened to it.  As we grew, we gave them away or just wore them out LOL.  I have two younger sisters and one younger brother.

    No, I don't have any childhood toys with me now. May be I was not so emotional then. But over the years I have accumulated things given as gifts (this includes handwritten letters) by my dear ones. And I also get a lot of flak for it.

    I like keeping toys from my childhood. I had this small care with me. I always bring it wherever I live from apartment to apartment. It is like part of my personality.

    I still have my childhood teddy bear, too. Otherwise, I may have a few toys in a box someplace. Most were given to younger family members or donated, I believe.

    I wish I had saved my old toys.  I remember I had a real Shirley Temple doll that I kept very nice.  I gave it away when I was a teen and now I can only imagine what it would be worth.  My husband saved his prized comic books and now some of them are quite valuable.

    Peach purple, I wish I had been lucky enough to have saved my toys. I am from a large family, so they were just handed down.  I do have one sister that got a gift of a Bride doll, and she saved it and still has it today. Another sister got a large doll that when you lift her arm she walks, and she saved that one also. I used to love to give all the dolls in our toy chest, new hair do's, and at times I styled them with a new haircut. LOL! I later went on to Cosmetology school.  I have fond memories of growing up in a large family.  I do have a few items I had put away that my mom gave me and one was a Cinderella watch I received around age 7, a cream colored scarf an Aunt made me, and a Large strawberry potholder my younger brother made for me~he passed in 2003. I do cherish my childhood memories and gifts.

    Generally, no, except for story books. That Grimm's Fairytales book has barely held together with its yellowing pages and old-fashioned, stringed binding. It's been kept nevertheless and sits in the farmhouse to this day on the bookshelf that I bought when in college.
    
    I do keep creations my children have made for me, though.
