Is meditation good for health? Has anyone seen a marked improvement through regular meditation?

I have used meditation for relaxation and for positive thinking as well as deeper intentions. All I can say is that for me personally it worked and in addition I felt fitter mentally. This did seem to reflect on my physical health in a very positive way. I think the mind and emotions can definately affect your physical health either for good or bad. Meditation, if practiced properly and regularly, can bring mental and physical well-being as well as an increase in confidence.

Hello PiaC, I can answer your question with a wholehearted Yes. I try to meditate for one hour a day at least, usually broken into two lots. and I can say that it is helping me in so many ways. I do not have any major health problems, but I am finding everything in my life so much easier to cope with.

Just allowing yourself some quite time to look for that inner silence and peace that is within us all can help with so many things. I myself am going through the menopause, and it is helping me with a lot of my symptoms, from mood changes and irritability to hot flushes. So I would advise everybody to try it.

Wow! These are great answers. My dad has been recommending I meditate for 40 minutes per day every day. I guess I should try it smile

hey, meditation is good for health for sure. My father has joined Ram Chandra Mission and has been meditating for the last one year. It has helped him a lot and there is marked change in him for sure. The first most noticeable thing (for us)was that he has stopped snoring! He is quite calm and it has brought peace within him. I am leading a very hectic life style with heavy work pressure, managing my home and my relationship, socialising etc. I have decided to join R.C.Mission shortly to help me reduce stress in my life and also get spiritual awakening. Earlier,I was not convinced but recently,I met a lady from the mission who convinced me to try meditation with the mission's help. One has to get three initial siitings of mediatation from their preceptors who in a way teach us to meditate! Hope it helps me!
