Can anyone give me a list of good English dubbed anime... (continued in Additional Details)

...where the main characters are handsome, mature-looking, ruthless yet kindhearted men I can fall in love with like Dante from Devil May Cry, Ban Midou and Kuroudo Akabane from the Get Backers, Kazuma Yagami from Kaze no Stigma, Alucard from Hellsing, Lelouch vi Britannia and Lloyd Asplund from Code Geass, Kazuya Shibuya from Ghost Hunt, and Light Yagami from Deathnote? (Please note I wrote "men" and not "boys", but mature boys are acceptable. tongue)

An intelligent storyline, a lot of action, and a bit of romance thrown in would be perfect as well. smile

Wow you have a really good list of anime already watched there. Well I'll add a few male characters you might like:

    - Kenshin Himura from Runouni Kenshin (This one has a great dub) (There are some other characters in here you might like as well like Shinomori Aoshi)

    - Spike Spiegel from Comboy Bebop (This one is a space opera anime, also nicely dubbed)

    - Gene Starwind from Outlaw Star (another space opera)

    - 'Rock' from Black Lagoon (This is a more violent anime and the male plays more of a supporting role)

    - Look up the various Gundum series (Gundum Wing, Gundum Seed, Gundum Seed Destiny, you'll fall in love with some of those characters)

Also check out Vampire Knight, Hana Kimi, Prince of Tennis. (I don't know if these are dubbed well)

I'm rather suprised you havn't seen Bleach. It involves all of your requests and it does get quite romantic. I deffinatly reccomend it if you have not already seen it.

Also Naruto Shippuden is quite good and there is a whole lot of romance coming up(no more spoilers from a manga reader :p)

    Thanks, kraiterstorm and Ubley. smile

You know, kraiterstorm is quite right - I did fall in love with Aoshi Shinomori when I watched Rurouni Kenshin ages ago.  I liked Saito Hajime as well. smile

And I have seen Bleach, Ubley. smile  Loved the first couple or so seasons, then it went on a downhill, uphill, downhill cycle for a while, then on the eighth season I finally couldn't stand it anymore.  I had completely lost interest in Bleach. sad  But I did fall in love with Ichigo Kurosaki at the beginning. ;P  Hehe.

I haven't seen the other titles you guys mentioned, but I hear Vampire Knight is really good.  Just waiting for the English dub to come out. smile

Are Naruto and Naruto Shippuden different?  My five-year old niece watches Naruto and I've kind of stayed away from it on the assumption that an anime a kid that small likes I would most likely find too childish. smile  A few anime that I've seen and found too childish are: Busou Renkin, Shakugan no Shana, Nabari No Ou, and Fullmetal Alchemist. I think it's probably because the main characters look too young and I can't fall in love with them.  Hehe. ;P

Among the Gundam series, which would you recommend?  Is it similar to Full Metal Panic!? I enjoyed Full Metal Panic! in spite of Sousuke Sagara's "eccentricity" (to put it nicely). ;D

Space operas aren't really my thing, but I'm considering Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star, thanks. smile

Please suggest some more. smile  Just so you know, I've also already seen: Blood+, Fushigi Yuugi, Samurai Champloo, Ghost Hunt, Saiunkoku Monogatari (season 1), Ouran High School Host Club.  The last one surprised me because I didn't expect to like it but somehow I got charmed by the host club boys.  Haha! big_smile

Currently cued on my "to watch" list: Trinity Blood, S-Cry-Ed, Basilisk, Tokyo Underground, Samurai Deeper Kyo.  I don't know if I'm going to like them yet. smile

If you can get through the first two episodes of Baccano you'll be quite happy you did.

Golden Boy from Golden Boy... I'm not sure how you would describe him but ruthless fits in a way.

btw Lloyd is handsome?! I'm totally out of touch with what the ladies want I guess

other than that most of the other suggestions from people are pretty good though Rock from Black Lagoon is not ruthless, thats Revi's job.

I think that "WeiƟ Kreuz" could be what you are looking for. The dubbed version is called "Knight Hunters."

If you liked Fushigi Yugi, you can try "Ayashi no Ceres" it is of the same mangaka Yuu Watase. the english version is called "Ceres, Celestial Legend"

Full Metal Panic! was a good anime. I liked the OVA series better though, it was more cheerful. Zero no Tsukaima is a wonderful anime. Angel Beats is more of a kaleidoscope of different feelings. Ookame-san to shinin no Nakatamachi is a romance-based story.

Ummm... I don't know too many men in animes that are handsome, mature-looking, kindhearted... I'd recommend the movie Princess Mononoke.

Have you tried "Darker than Black"? Not sure what you like in a guy but the main character seems to fit the description.
