Why that "time of the month" seems to go on long vacations? (I need woman advice please!)

My period seems to like to "not happen" for months at a time. I have been to doctors and they say I am fine. Is there anything natural I can do to help regulate my period? It can be VERY frustrating going months without getting one. I am on month 4 right now. I am not pregnant & I can be certain because I am not sexually active. I get the period symptoms ( Tender breasts, sore lower back, head aches, mood swings, nausea, tiredness, ect.) but no period. My doctor has me trying wheat germ in my diet. Since I started eating it, my breasts have been tender but no period... HELP!

& I know I shouldn't seek medical advice on the internet which is why I want women to answer, that have had the same issue and resolved it naturally. It's like my body is willing... but the fire is not there to let it burn.. so to speak.

If you are in your late 30s or early 40s it could be perimenopause.

I agree. I too went through this same thing, about mid thirty. Progesterone cream, helps along with flax. Usually, it is estrogen dominance, instead of decline, in this stage.

I can't offer any advice, but I can tell you that you aren't alone.  You are totally describing me, and I've been told the same thing...that I'm fine.  If you learn any ways to help with the issue, please share.

You sound exactly the way I was throughout all of high school -- I had periods about every 3-4 months. At the time, I was in an extremely high-stress environment. They tried everything to try to regulate me, including putting me on birth control pills. As soon as I moved out of that situation -- and I mean like the very next month -- I became extremely regular. Since then, I've run into more and more doctors who acknowledge that stress could have this effect. Perhaps try some stress management -- any interest in yoga or something similar? Even a daily walk that's just for you to clear your head might help if you're in a high-stress situation.

I agree, if it is stress, you could try b complex, and flax seed. Flax has omega 3's and help regulate hormones. 1000-2000mg a day. Krill oil will do the same, as it contains EPA, GLA, And DHA. With no fishy burps. B complex 5-10mg, helps with stress
