If you had to choose a monetary value - which would be equal to your worth....
Worth being - your skills, knowledge, services, abilities, talents, legacies, contributions, etc...
How much would you be worth?
Mine would be infinite because I am constantly improving myself and to value something you must discount the future to the present.
Perhaps you should specify your question a bit, do you mean on an hourly basis or as an absolute amount that you think equals the amount and equivalent of time you invested into your education and experience?
hmmm... the question was hard to form as it is... lol. I think the only way I could define it more, is that this value would be equal to everything in your past and everything you envision yourself doing in the future. A "total value". As many have previously said, in business (and other situations), you set your rates or choose a job that pays a certain amount, according to what you believe you value you is.
So I want to take it a step further, and it can either include business or not. In hypothetical terms, if you gave your life a total value (from birth to death), from your perspective now (not from the infinite avenues your life could possibly take in the future), what would that value be?
It's just a question for fun. You can think of it anyway you like. You could look at what hourly rate you think you'd be worth if you had your dream job and schedule, then figure out what that would make you in a year, then multiply that by the number of years you'd like to live or that you think you will live (the average lifespan of a person is generally 95 right now, though you can choose any number). Then you'd include in what monetary value your parenting skills would be worth, or your services as a great friend, or as an intimate partner. Then think about the negative things you do and then figure out if you would subtract any value or add some for those negative skills.
If I was being asked this question, I would say that my total lifetime value might be somewhere near 3 Trillion dollars, which isn't really a lot, seeing as I plan to live to 160 years old, and retire somewhere near 110 years old. And though I would make the value higher, I am also considering my negative skills like procrastination, in there, which I subtract from my total value, because if they continue on through my life as they are now, then I won't be worth as much as I really feel I should be. Though I still put a really high number because I am a person who likes to give back as much as possible, and contribute throughout my life - in my community, country, family, relationships and business. And for me, contribution is of the highest value.
It's a complicated and introspective question, and not for the timid or those fearful of self discovery, that's for sure! lol.
maybe I should open a forum....

Are women really worth the same pay as men? Most of the women that I work with are less dependable, absent more often, get pregnant, worry about their looks, have relationship problems, cry at work if something goes wrong, and on and on. Do they really deserve the same pay?

It would be really helpful to see what the monetary value of each hub is per day or week or month (preferably per day or month) as an additional column on the main statistics page. For example, a Hub that was published years ago may have many views, but since they were acquired over a long time the...

Are all opinions equal? Most of us insist on our right to our own opinion and that is as it should be. Does that mean everyone's opinion is of equal value? Honest debate will often prove that certain statements are not facts. It seems to have become a tactic to declare what...
