   Acupuncture is a good way to relieve headache and/or migraine which is confirmed by many researches and is used by many people with these conditions.

   A B-12 deficiency could be to blame. One of the many symptoms of deficiency. If it is chronic, and daily, it would suggest that something is missing. Sublingual, is the best form, under the tongue, as this is directly into the blood stream. Research suggests, 500-1000mcg per day. Other possibilities, are fluctuating hormones. Whether it is due to Pms, or menopause, a helpful supplement is flax seed. It helps to balance hormone levels. 1000mg-2000mg daily. Our diets, commonly are lacking in the Omega 3's (good fats).    that's a complex question- because many things can cause either kind of headache! You could have a food allergy or two, you could need glasses, you could be dealing with caffeine withdrawl- issues with your blood pressure....

   Glasses, caffeine, and allergies are ruled out.  Muscle problems, reflux, chocolate, and cheese are known triggers.  Menstrual ones were but are not right now due to intervention.
   
   I am on B2 and magnesium.  I just started CoQ10 again - tried years ago and didn't do much.
   
   Thinking about trying butterbur and feverfew again.  I stopped for some reason, cant remember why, maybe side effects.  I could try the flax.  I have never stuck with it long enough.
   
   When I first started the mag I was headache free for 6 weeks.  Not anymore
   
   B12 and acupuncture have yet to be tried and would be worth a go round.
   
   So, sublingual B12 really works as well as a shot?

      B vitamins are best taken in a combo, with at least 5-10mg of each nutrient. Then add the extras to that. The dosage for magnesium is 600mg for 12 weeks. If you changed brands,of mag, it could be the supplement.

   I've recently found that many migraines can be caused by a vitamin C B6 or niacin deficiency.
   
   Feverfew does work as a prophylactic, but it needs to be taken for about 2 months before you notice the effects. Black cohosh works on migraines that are hormonal because it balances estrogen levels.

   I get a lot of headaches and something I do to ease the pain comes from acupuncture and has been proven to work. Find the muscle that goes between your thumb and your finger and squeeze it. It should feel sore and sensitive. If it doesn't try the muscle on your other hand. Apply pressure on whichever one is sensitive, It's uncomfortable but it really does work! I also find drinking a small amount of black coffee helps, and lots of water of course.
