I try to think of every possible outcome, and remember that the worst one is not actually the most likely.

The worst is not necessarily the worst, indeed.

No easy way. One develops inner calm through years of 'sitting' practice, that is to say, Meditation. There may also be some people who are blessed with good personalities and inner peace, but you know, this too, is an act of past experiences.

So meditation a.m., and let the inner light permeate in and through the crisis while staying calm. Even then, one should develop the habit of asking for guidance during the crisis itself, either from Above or through the efforts of other colleagues. It is also useful to step back, if only for a few moments or a minute or two if time allows. Never be hungry at work. Food fuels the brain. Watch your stomach.

      Thank you, Midget38.
Also, Shara63 speaks of trust in God. Yes. Feel that the outcome is already there. You are only an instrument in the Mother's hand. You have a loving smile. Keep on nurturing your inner strength.

It can depend on the crisis.  If someone else is in a crisis I respond well, often taking charge, keeping calm and doing what is needed to help.

If it's my own inner crisis then I become introverted and will meditate on what is going on, source the core of it, express what needs to be expressed.  In need I will seek help from a friend or family member.

Feel the feelings, breath and keep moving through helps.

Good to take a moment to pause and reflect, indeed. Feeling feelings and addressing them is indeed important before deciding what to do!

Concentrate on your breathing and try to take some distance. Literally by leaving the place of crisis for some time or taking a short work to reflect on the crisis.

But of course the best path of action depends on the character of the crisis itself.

I find that it's good to calm down too. Leaving the place that gave you the aggro is very good, before going back to it and thinking of a way to solve the problem.

Its all about prior training.  You must always be prepared for anything to happen to maintain calm.

Think about the solutions and get to work on that, instead of letting yourself worry.

I don't actually know how it happens, but the fact is that so long there is something to do or that can be done, I do it. I'm very bossy about it also, telling everyone what needs doing. Once everything is settled and crisis sorted, then I just break down, sort of: that girl has left the building... Very strange actually...
