   Maca root causing weight loss?
   
   I've been taking maca root for something like 3 months. I started taking it for my hormones, for more energy, and because it helps my anxiety. Well, I haven't been wearing jeans for sometime, I gained weight and got sick of buying more. I was down to one pair that fit. I found some really cheap so I measured myself to see what my size would be and to my surprise, I lost 3 to 4 inched from my hips and 3 to 4 from my waist! I haven't been eating differently, or exercising or anything like that. The only thing I could think of was the maca root. Can it cause you to lose inches?

   Do becareful with Maca Root. Its main function isnt to make you lose weight and if you are losing a lot of weight than do record and monitor your side effects of this supplement. If you feel your heart rate is going up too fast or just at a higher rate on the supplement than its a sign you might be taking too much of it. Weight loss may be a side effect of excessive usage. 1 tip is monitor your weight loss and if you do research you'll find out over 2lb weight loss/gain weekly is abnormal.

      6 to 8 inches lost over 3 months isn't too much. If I lost that in 1 week I can see a cause for alarm. I have no side effects. I just feel better! I think the people who get side effects are allergic to the radish/turnip.

      That's good, the weight loss may occur due to the boost in energy positively effecting and raising your metabolism to help burn some extra calories here and there.

      I realized that I have some what of a delay with weight loss. It wasn't the maca but when I did a week of hard house cleaning 3 weeks before that. I can work my butt off and I wont see the results for 3 weeks. I guess this is normal for women.

   OMG, I always thought maca root was for weight gain! I've read several reports of increased weight or muscle more like, from maca root. Uh...So, I need not take it I guess. Thanks!!

      Don't get me wrong, my butt got bigger from it! My butt was always 10 inches bigger than my waist but now its 16 inches bigger! I know it has to be the maca. So it is true... If you want a bigger butt take the stuff lol
