   What is your best remedy for a cold?
   
   With cold season upon us, share what you do when you have a cold.  What are some home remedies or natural remedies you use when you catch a cold?

   I drink lots of orange juice, and eat hot soup, and if I have antibiotics handy I will take them. The best thing to do is just sweat it out.

   Get lots of rest, drink lots of water, chicken soup (homemade if possible).  Meds as necessary.

   Antibiotics for a cold are a way to an immune deficiency. I have vitamins and herbs - I haven't seen a doctor in a while and I'm fine.

   Vitamin D from sunshine if possible.  Or D3 supplements.  It is believed that we get more colds and flu in the winter due to lower sun exposures, which reduces our skin production of vitamin D.    Vitamin D is an immune modulator -- makes your immune system works better.   Since there is no cure for cold, the best one can do is to nurture and support the body's own healing system.  That means provide as much raw ingredients and nutrients to the body so that it can use them to do its thing.

   Two teaspoons of honey and one teaspoon of lemon-every morning,after you get up.The old good cure. My Mum used to give me that,and now I also  give it to my    son.
