Does the human body really have chakras?

What is your feeling or experience towards the chakras (energy centers) of the body? Have you ever noticed those centers opening or closing? Are you aware of energy imbalances or when your chakras are in harmony?

As a community pharmacist I have a science-based education but through years of meditation and tai chi practice I have come to experience the presence of my own chackras.

I thought myself how to meditate. As I began to practice I started experiencing energetic phenomena that I had not read or heard about. Latter, I researched the subject and was surprised to find out accurate an accurate description of it.

Tingling, itching, a sense of weight are among the most common physical sensations I experience. Although the most intense was the experience of a sensation of rapture, so intense, that in comparison orgasm doesn't even come close.

On top of that, I started to feel the influence other people has on my own energy body. Some are really on the dark side of the force, so to speak.

Wow, that is a fascinating and fantastic answer, a glimpse into worlds not often mentioned in common conversation. As a practicing energy healer in Spain, I had similar experiences. Would love to hear more about yours, Pedro. Maybe a hub?

Yes. I seem to speak of my Teacher when I write to you. Only because I feel from some of your 'advanced' questions, that this is the best course. Read Kundalini, The Mother Power. It is easy to read and flows with the authority of a God-Realised Soul. That is my perception, of course. It need not be others. Anyway, you can read it freely from www.srichinmoylibrary.org or order from Amazon.
I have experienced it sure. But it's not necessary and very dangerous without absolute purity in our lower emotions. How are you today, my brother? Much love.

Well you're right! I've done so at my own peril only realizing it latter. I did not consciously evoke kundalini awakening. It was a manifestation of my surprisingly short experience in mindfulness meditation.

So wonderful that you can see this, Pedro. The quickest way is the narrow way. Keep walking and do not look back. Kundalini is like beautiful flowers along the way. They tempt us, and if we are not strong enough, we can become sidetracked and lost

Hi, I believe they do exist, Reiki and yoga are a good way to align the chakras and off course meditation and visualisation.

I'd like to hear more about your experience if you choose to share. Thanks for your answer here.

Hi, energy flow whilst giving Reiki feels warm (the receipent can usually feel heat too) and almost like electricity flowing.  I have found that meditation and visualisation produce the same static type feeling which generally starts in the hands.

Wow, this is now an awesome coincidence. I have been hearing a lot about chakras in the past few days. My mother informed me about an energy healer and from there it has been all I have heard about. I was actually going to look for hubs about chakras and this question popped up before I even started my search!

I am just learning about chakras, but I believe that my third chakra is slow or deficient. While I don't have all the symptoms, I definitely have a lot of them, and they came out of nowhere one day.

I have always 'known' when something was right, and when I read about the chakra inbalance, I just 'knew' that it was the cause of my symptoms.

I have always believed in energy being blocked or off-balance in the body, so this is very exciting for me.

Relationshipc, it is always awesome, and fun when synchroncities happen. I just published two hubs on how to give foot reflexology. The hub today gives the reflex points on the feet which correspond to the chakras of the body, with video demo.

I don't think I've heard the term Energy Centers before. I have to check it out and get back to you.

Thank you tiffany. There is plenty of information available on the internet. My 2nd hub on how to give foot reflexology, published today, also refers to the energy centers. Happy research! And tell me what you learn, if you want.

I have regularly done what is called dissolving meditations.  They are usually centered within some part of the body, but sometimes my attention is drawn to an associated área outside bit near that point.  Focusing on that energy body, or imbalanced chakra, brings about a clearing of an internal blockage.

I also do microcosmic orbit and extraordinary channel qigong movements that work with the external energy body.  They work for both healing and spiritual realization.  I recommend these exercises for anyone who is over 50, or anyone who has a serious health challenge.

I have written on qigong here on HubPages and on my website qigonghealingarts.org.

Excellent, Randy. My next stop will be your qigong writings.

Yes, I am also agreed with the existence of Chakras in human body. These coincide with vital points in human body as center of life forces. In Hinduism, Hindu tantra and Yogic manuscript describe Chakras in brief. It is not easy to awake these life forces because it needs hard practice and concentration of mind. Acupuncture the modern name also resemble with these life forces.

Well said. Much has been written which varies from the original descriptions and not all of it is reliable. I am wary of specifics. My knowing of the subtle is based on experience. One could say it is subjective, yet for me it grows more real.

I believe that they exists. I have never actually experienced anything chakra related activity but I have promised to read a book or two about the subject. I would love to try a meditation that would help to balance chakras but I have to confess that I am pretty bad even at normal meditation.
