What are some alternatives for caffeine for energy?

I'm not a morning person so I've been dependent on energy drinks or coffee in the mornings to get me going. I stopped drinking caffeinated beverages altogether and I've started exercising as well but I'm hoping find an alternative to that caffeine boost to help me feel more energized.

Ginseng and a good sublingual B complex vitamin are immensely helpful.

Make sure you have a healthy diet and sleep enough hours, it seems obvious but I'm sure very few people actually do it. Follow these 2 rules and you won't need "energy drinks" I think most of it is just a placebo effect.

If your trying to get energy naturally/from your diet and not from stimulants, then your calorie requirements (energy value of food is calculated in calories) are dependent upon age, physical status and activity level. Eggs, milk, red meat, chicken, cereals, fruits and vegetables all promote energy. It requires more calories to maintain muscle than fat, you have started exercising, which has increased your metabolism, Ironically you need to eat more.

You may be experiencing withdrawal symptoms, from the caffeine. Tiredness and headaches are the common symptoms.
Among the most helpful supplements for energy are:
Increase water, 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight. Being dehydrated is a main cause behind fatigue.
Tyrosine, an amino acid derived from protein. Tyrosine is the precurser for adrenaline, as well as the neuro transmitters norepinephrine, and dopamine. The foods that contain tyrosine are almonds, avocados, bananas, and pumpkin seeds. The link for tyrosine: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001G7R4MI/ref … JDM4CSBP5C
As has already been mentioned, the b vitamins are also very helpful in energy production. Especially B5 pantothenic acid. They should be taken in a complex formula as they work in concert, one just as valuable as the next. They have just recently produced a water inhancer called Mio, green thunder. Which is a blend of b vitamins that you add to water for energy.

I have written an article about the b complex vitamins, I hope this helps. http://artist101.hubpages.com/hub/The-B … ust-Stress

Be careful Mio has caffeine in it, as well as ginseng, and b vitamins. If you suffer from anxiety, or panic attacks you should not take ginseng.
