Honestly, it sounds cheesy but breathing exercises.
Go to a quiet place, close your eyes and breathe in deeply through your nose and slowly out your mouth. After about a minute, you will start to feel better. It actually changes the chemistry in your brain and relaxes you.

We can reduce the stress by looking outside the nature, birds flying, eagle flying, listen to birds chirping, natural sounds, get into some parks and play with the kids will help a lot.

Breathe deep, meditate, when in a calm state of mind, let a stressful thought in and watch the effects. Try to calm down again through breathing and watch the stressful thought dissipate. Anchor the feeling of calming down in spite of a stressful thought with a physical action such as touching 2 fingers together. Then when in a real life stressful situation, trigger off the process of calming down by using the physical anchor

One of the best ways to do this is to keep a daily detailed time agenda, and include time outs for leisure. When making your agenda, exclude anything you think will be too much. Always prioritize yourself as your first concern and client from the standpoint of your need for time for yourself to rest and refresh.

For some phsiological tips, please visit my HubPage!

Also, restrict or eliminate caffeine, sugar, and heavy foods.
And get plenty of rest, getting to bed before 10pm if possible. After this time the mind goes into overactivity, causing stress, anxiety, and junk food cravings.
    Hope this helps

The best way to manage stress is to DROP your mental load, and learn not to have it back. Have you ever noticed how the mind gets glued to a few negative thoughts under stress? You need to shake it off. This hub might help you:

Society is so rife with "synthetic stress" that it is best to simply make it a policy to NEVER be afraid.  One helpful technique is to isolate the physical symptoms of stress and then use this mantra:  "I am NOT these sensations" OR "These sensations are not real".  If you can convince yourself that these physical sensations do not reflect your TRUE feelings, they will pass.  I call this "staring down unwanted feelings."  With enough practice you can learn to detect stressful physical sensations and SEPARATE yourself from them.  That way you own your mind instead of your manipulated body controlling your mind.
