My hometown in the Philippines is having a dengue outbreak. Do you know of a herbal medicine that can cure it or reduce the casualty to minimal?
There is no treatment to cure dengue fever, even in conventional medicine. All they can do is treat the symptoms and wait for the person to get better.
The best thing is prevention. Get some Vitamin B1 tablets (that's Vitamin B1 on its own) and take one every day, it works like a mosquito repellent. Cover up - long sleeves, long skirts or pants, and insect repellent on exposed skin.
For those already sick - lots and lots of fluids, encourage them to eat to keep their strength up, and total bed rest.
No medicines nor vaccines for dengue, unfortunately.
However,people with dengue must:
- boost body resistance
- drink plenty of water
- drink beverages with probiotics
- eat vegetables, especially malunggay or horseradish tree
- take zinc or vitamin c
- take paracetamol, not aspirin
- go to the doctor to have platelets counted daily
