Universal Love

What does staying true to oneself mean? It means to love yourself unconditionally and to be whom you are meant to be. It means not sacrificing who you are to fit in. Who you are is truly always good enough.

Love for oneself should be first and foremost. When you love yourself unconditionally, it’s because you understand that you are a part of everything in the Universe that was created from love.

Gratitude

Gratitude helps you to connect or reconnect to the love from the Universe that manifests in so many ways. Give thanks for everything that shows up in your life. It’s there to teach you something.

How do you show this? By writing down on paper or in a journal what you’re grateful for or just by saying it out loud as often as possible.

Meditation/Prayer

Meditation and or prayer keeps you grounded in a hectic, fast paced and sometimes confusing world.  It’s where you can gain inner peace which then moves outward.

Beliefs

Look at your beliefs. Ask yourself what you believe in. Do you believe in a loving Universe or one that only punishes? Beliefs are how you feel about something. Beliefs can be changed or added to. For example, do you believe that you can accomplish anything? If you don’t believe that, then you’ve created limits for yourself. However this belief can be changed to one that is limitless.

When you change your beliefs, you change yourself. You own your power.

Giving and Receiving

Learn to give and receive to stay in balance.  One is not more important than the other.  When you give, that comes back to you in countless ways.  Accept the goodness that comes to you graciously and be thankful.

Selfcare

Self care is a must.  Take good care of your body, mind and spirit.  Feed yourself with good thoughts; read and develop your mind.  For your body, exercise, sleep, nutrition, and proper diet are ways to practice good self-care.

Staying true to oneself can be hard at times.  It seems like a lot to do.  In the end you are worth it aren’t you?

These are all things that I try to work on a daily basis, otherwise my head starts going to those "bad neighborhoods." Thanks for the reminder this morning! God bless.

I love how you made all of this into little subgroups of areas in life to pay attention to and help you stay true to yourself. I love reading self-help Hubs! Lots of nice little pieces of advice here

Wonderful Hub...Full of valuable information and guidance..

Staying true to yourself is another way of saying personal integrity and self discipline. You have to work at it, everyday, and be honest with your self-appraisal.

I take life lessons from my cat. He responds to attention, reciprocates by giving affection... like most of us, giving back what we receive...

Thank you for this Hub...Nice start

Your words have opened the windows of a closed and empty room of an old and abandoned house, and filled it with fresh air that takes away the cobwebs and staleness from within, and filled it with sunshine again. But this house still has many rooms left unopened and unattended. Maybe someday, soon, all this will change before dust and decay takes its toll.

people now seem to always miss the time to meditate. We are all prescribed so many drugs but if you just sat still for a moment it would help so many out. Great site
