Is it okay to publish article I wrote in hubpages.com to other websites like wordpress?
I'm planning to create my own blog at wordpress and I'm wondering if those articles that I wrote in Hubpages are possible to publish on the said site? It's my goal to reach more readers. Thanks for your answers.
Yes but you have to re write the hub if your intention is to publish the whole hub on your blog site. However, there are many ways to share your hubs to your blog site: share your hubs using the URL links or the hub's permalinks, share all your hubs using the hub widget found on your dashboard, share your hubs using the summaries on which you inserted the URL links on them.
Well, "No". . . It's not right to post same thing at some other website. Yes you can write on Same Title in more detail at some other website. That can do something good. Else either that page will get affected by Google Penguine or this Hub will get affected. This later outcome is rare although.
If your intention is to reach more readers, as you have said, then it is better to drive traffic to your hubpages rather than publishing them on a new blog which will need to get promoted to get traffic in the first instance.
More than that, publishing your hubs on a blog would be duplicate content, unlikely to be helpful.
So in my opinion, what paul pruel has said in his reply would be a better way to get more visitors. I would add here one more suggestion: bookmark your hubpages on various social sites to give more exposure to your hubpages.
You cannot publish anything you have published on hubpages anywhere else on the internet. You can delete it from hubpages and paste it anywhere else you want to though.
Here's the thing: When you publish duplicate material - no matter the site - you will be penalized by search engines. Google especially will not look kindly to that. Now, if you wrote something on HubPages and wanted to summarize - in different words - on your Wordpress site, then that's okay.
You can easily link back to your hub in a Wordpress site, as well as use the HubPages widget in your sidebar. If you have Twitter enabled in your sidebar on your Wordpress site, you can also tweet the HubPages link and it'll show up on your sidebar that way.
But anything more than about 1% of a page in duplicate content is not a good idea and that's usually a good rule of thumb to abide by.
This is also why it's a good idea to regularly check for duplicate content on your articles/hubs using a service such as CopyScape.
I would delete it from Hubpages and post it on another website. I wouldn't post the same article while leaving it up on a previous one.
my understanding of hubpages is that you cannot publish anything here that is published elsewhere, so it looks like a 'no' dscarcha! In my experience of wordpress and hubpages you get far more readers here and lots more interaction with other hubbers. happy blogging and hubbing!
You have a couple of options.
1) Write a related article, perhaps a shortened version or just an introduction at your blog and then link to your hub pages article in one or more places in that related article.
2) Publish an article on your blog that is very similar to the Hub article in content and length but completely re-written/re-worded. You are essentially taking the hub pages article and making major modifications to it before publishing on you blog (sometimes called "spinning").

So, I understand I can't publish any content on here that I have used for another site. But can I publish on here first, then carry those articles over to another site? Is that allowed? Cause on the other sites I write for allow me to republish content on them... Also, I read that the hubs are...

If I want to publish one of my pieces on an eBook, do I have to remove it from my Hub?I am going to try and publish some of my short stories and don't know if I should remove them from HP before or after publishing?

Just curious, but does anyone have experience with this? How'd you do it? Did you tell Google the article moved somehow or do anything else fancy? Or did you just copy, paste, delete from HubPages, and wait for Google to catch up?Im guessing there might be some duplicate content penalties from...

I used to have an eHow account, but when they closed the Writer's Compensation Program back in May/June, I removed my articles from the site and deleted my account.A couple days ago, I republished one of the articles here, and yesterday I got an email informing me that the hub had been unpublished...

The article in question was "Good Title and Caption Ideas for Content Creators". Here is the link to the unpublished page at least showing the url (https://discover.hubpages.com/technology/Caption-Ideas). I published this article on 2-21-22. There is usually a 1 day wait time for...

I don't think I'm alone in thinking that the main thing that has dragged hubpages down in this latest algo change is the amount of crappy content posted on here over the years. I understand the reasoning behind the latest changes regarding ad placement and reduction of amazon and ebay links and I...
