I'll try to not be political. I don't know exactly how the word "war" is being used. I do know what halfway means.
It seems to me, George W. Bush (the Presidential Library is an oxymoron) waited too long to take action. There were many Arabs on a plane to America, some of them trained to be terrorists by us, who recieved such excellent care, I wonder if I should join them. I think the Middle East War was fought "Halfway".
The war was illegal, protracted, and accomplished little other than garnishing a new generation of suicide bombers.
There was not one Firefighter, Police Officer, Medic, who wouldn't have given their left nut to get at the perpetrators.
As it's been shown, small units of Special Forces seem to get the job done-
at the onset of the bombings, (which I predicted, along with the Antrax). No, I'm not special, and frankly the CDC thought I wasn't special either, (loon, crackpot, out of work writer) - yep. they didn't travel and download .
And since they didn't have enough reverb on the one hangup), they hung up twice just to make sure
I thought that if we could find Osama, only special ops could get near enough to
actually peg the guy...
So, in my opinion,George W Bush waged an illegal war- not asking .what we the public wanted done,
Meaning;war should have been brought to bear in the form of a massive wave of Special Forces, or to have made the place a glass parking lot. Not so long ago. Muslims were the most learned and tolerant religion of all the world. now, the opposite.
I think this refers to the idea of "fighting wars with lawyers" The U.S. at least has been fighting half wars since 1950, Sometimes they are called police actions.
These wars can drag on and on without clear objectives, they seem to only be good for the military industrial complex in the long run, I don't thing we had to many complaints about the complete and utter destruction of Hitler and The Third Reich?
This halfway war policy I think is a U.N type "or old League of Nations" strategy, that has developed to try and avoid any possibility of world war conflict, and lessen civilian casualties. A Cold War is better than a Hot War so to speak.
Taken in that light, it probably is a necessity, but it can be frustrating to the observer, as sometime it seems as if appeasement is the strategy, and therefore might bring about ultimately what is seeks to avoid? A more dire scenario down the road, with more powerful weaponry or a bigger army for instance.
That's enough of world politics for the rest of the month.
