Equal rights=basic human rights.   Everybody with basic common sense knows what those entail.

Special rights="rights" based on either greed or vengeance, emanating from individuals or groups with a discriminatory agenda, all the while claiming to be FOR equal rights.  Society is becoming overrun with those false agendas.

To me, equal rights are those held for everyone regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or creed.  Special rights would be those extended to someone because of one of those.  Does that make sense?

I agree with Brenda and Richard.

Equal rights means using consistent, fair practices to all people regardless of their race, gender, age, etc.

Special rights means using race, gender, age, etc. to gain EXTRA rights for that group's specific agenda.

And as Brenda says, our society is being overrun with those screaming for "equal rights" when in fact what the actually want is "special rights" for their particular group or circumstance.
