Where Were You When You Heard America was Attacked on 9/11? Any Specific Memories?
I was planning my wedding on September 15th. On a road trip with my fiance, we came into the hotel lobby and saw dozens of people huddled around the television. I saw the plume of smoke and the tongues of fire, then the second plane hit. I asked, "What movie are you watching?"
I was sitting in 8th grade math class on September 11th with my favorite teacher, Mr. Fuhr. He received a phone call during the beginning of our lesson, hung it up, and turned on the television, changing the channel to the news. What we students saw then was terrifying and I will never, ever forget the images. Our school was immediately closed down and my father picked up my sisters and I. I cried all the way home because even though I was young, I recognized the significant impact and loss of life that had resulted from the attack. Such a vivid, haunting memory. Thank you for the thought-provoking question.
I was on the second week of my new job. Working away, I heard my co-worked shout that a plane hit the WTC. We all ran to the closest conference room and saw the 2nd plane hit it. We pretty much spent most of the day in that room, freaking out every time a plane flew by. Such a scary thing!
I was working at The World Trade Center in Boston, sitting at my desk listening to Howard Stern when he started talking about the plane crashing into the World Trade Center in New York. I was very nervous as i helped other employees exit the parking facility. I recieved many phone calls from friends and family worried that the World Trade Center in Boston might also be a target. After everyone had left, they finnally let the rest of us go home. I raced to pick up the kids from daycare and went home and stayed glued to my TV for quite a few hours as I watched the horror unfold along with everyone else in the country. I will never forget that day, I hope we never have to live through that kind of horror again. God bless us all and let us never forget all the lives that were forever changed by this horrible event.
I was working and listening to a music station through head phones when a work buddy told me to tune in the local news station. The events unfolded to my ears and I knew, before it was announced, that it was Muslim terrorists. I had even thought it might be Bin Laden. Our whole shift adjourned to the training room where the multiple screens were tuned to the disaster that was unfolding in NYC. I watched the towers collapse. I watched as a lone fire fighter walked through the dust, smoke and mayhem into the mouth of horror and knew that I would never be the same. How can one ever witness such a thing and be the same?

Let's face it, if you believe that our large corporations in this nation give a damn about the death of our soldiers, or innocent persons over seas somewhere - you are one delusional person, and I absolutely feel sorry for you.If you fell for the "war on terror" then you fell for that...

I was teaching Brit lit to my seniors. A fellow teacher/friend came in and told me about the first attack, and we all thought it was a tragic accident. Then he came back to tell me about the second plane. All the teachers turned on their TVs and regular teaching pretty much shut down. Hubby was...

The same general who refused the US to back up Israel in its attempt to attack Iran. Is it a coincidence that once again the American "interests" were hit through the assassination of the embassador? Whose interest is it to have the Arab world hate America?

If North Korea really does launch a missile that hit America, what should our response be? I'm not a war monger and in most cases I am against war to solve the issue. But when you say your going to attack a country and try to do it then you have to be proactive. I believe we should treat them like...
